Yes, thank you Milord.
I was thinking, we are very priveliged really that we have a real Lord dishing out the drinks. It seems to make us allvery polite, too. None of that pushing and shoving we used to have in the wine-bar and bodies all over the floor which we had to step over.
No, this is a very superior place indeed.
I shallsit quietly and sip my like a good girl.

Sorry if I gave you my cold, Evan. I know I shouldn't have sat on your lap.
I'm going to need a large , just had a look at the CB. Guess who's back? Pretending to be all nice and chummy.
Not for me!!!!

Yes, I saw Oh well I'll go back to lurking on the R2 boards, trying to sort the wheat from the chaff. Doubt the 'Chummy' will last long. Never has before.
Well, if I'm going to get a cold then what better way is there to catch one?!

Evening M'lord and Fly
Sorry to hear you've both got colds, it's all this warm weather allowing the germs to breed!
I really thought we were in for some peace on the MBs but it's not to be
Hope you are both keeping the liquid intake up purely for medicinal purposes of course. I'll join you if you're up to having company?

Come on in Geordie Girl, The doors open & welcome mat out. Yes I saw he's back. That's my cue to go back to 'lurking' I'll still answer the interesting & genuinly funny ones though.
There's still this place! Hopefully he won't discover it.
What'll you have?
Any idea what oil I should bring to 'Daleks' birthday bash? W100 or 'Straight' 100. I can get either at Popham.

Hiya Evan,
Wouldn't it be fun if we could see all those people who are "lurking". That's what I do most of the time. I make lots of unrepeatable comments as well.
I don't believe he doesn't know we are here, but upsetting people one at the time isn't so much fun for him, is it? It takes a lot for me to thoroughly dislike somebody, but there are limits.
And the vulgarity of the man, it makes me sick.
I'll just go and have a look if he's gone. Don't let them take my glass!

Thank you for the welcome.
I'm not that well up on Dalek oil so can't really say! I'm sorry she's leaving for a while as most of the time JV's board is pleasant. A shame she couldn't pop over to the R2 as a certain person I'm sure would have been well and truly sorted out once and for all! She was suggesting a party with JV there one night.... He could of course be the celeb DJ that keeps getting lost on route to the CB!
Have you been flying recently? There was a light aircraft flying round our house last week not the usual course at all. We don't get so many as we used to now they don't fly so much from Woodford.
Well must go and make some supper.
Bye for now

Yes it would be fun if we could all see each other, I often wonder what posters look like. I think 'lurking' is what I'll be doing most of the time from now on. I doubt he'll be gone, he usually stays right up to close of play when he gets on there. It's safest to post during the day but avoid evenings & weekends.

Hi Evan'
I was just getting settled really.Your lap was very comfortable. Hope I wasn't too heavy. It's the heavy cold I'm carrying about.
T
Two different friends brought me soup to-day. That was lovely and by this afternoon I'd perked up quite a lot.
Strange how there seems to be two camps now. There's us and then there are people welcoming him (S) back. I don't know.
Think I might as well follow you all now and get ready for bed.
Be good
See you soon

Dear Evan
The night I have a good night's sleep it will be posted in CAPITAL LETTERS.
I always put my light out at 12.00 and I wake up anything from 2.00 onwards. Put the radio on and, funnily enough (S would love this) I fall asleep when Sarah Kennedy is on. Alex Lester keeps me awake. Slap my top!!!
Still, feeling a lot etter to-day, thank you. I'm sure I have to keep drinking lots of hot toddies, they're the answer!!!.
In real life, I've been out to lunch and had 2 glasses of wine. Came home, feeling good for nothing, lay on the sofa, dropped off and woke up with that horrible taste in my mouth.
Large cup of tea would be very welcome. Mixture of Assam and Earl Grey please.

Hi Fly (and any lurkers!)
I'm pleased to hear that you are feeling better I was starting to get worried about you!
I've been very busy over the last few days and helped M shift several tons of rock, so I've got a very stiff back and arms. It's a pity I can't massage myself!
I've been posting on the 'serious' board (JV) today and some misguided soul has described me as "a goddess among intelligent thinking humans." (See the discussion re heroin addiction if you don't believe me!) Still, it's nice to be appreciated sometimes.
Off out to dinner tonight with some visiting Hong Kong relatives so I'd better start getting ready it seems to take longer and longer as I get older
Take care everyone and have a good evening

Hello Evan
Yes it is the BAE Woodford I'm close to, about 2 miles, and when they used to have airshows we just watched from the garden. I didn't know they had a daily shuttle to Farnborough though. I think the best display was by the Russian Sukoi that does the vertical take off. We watched from the front garden and it was quite amazing. They haven't had any for the last couple of years unfortunately.
I expect you are pleased the weather is getting milder and the mornings a bit lighter for your rounds. Are you still on the early shift?
Did you hear JV today with the April Fool topic about the Germans and French wanting to ditch the Euro and join the pound? I thought it was hilarious. I heard it first when he was having his chat with Ken Bruce and thought immediately it was a hoax!
Well must go and make the tea. I just realised I'm always going to do something with food just after I've posted on here!
Is the bar open yet or am I too early to have a glass of something?

Hallo goddess,
Well, good for you, that can't be bad, can it?
I must have a look at the JV.board, it's not something I automatically think of.
Will you be having lovely Chinese to-night then?
We seem to be pre-occupied with our tums this afternoon. Corrie was cooking a large pot of lamb and all sorts of veg. I've been out to lunch and had liver and bacon and mash with onion gravy. All I want is a cup of tea, I think.
Feeling a lot better to-day, thank you, with a bit of luck I think I'm going to make it.
I did a little light weeding and I have stiff muscles to-day, always the same in the beginning of the spring. Seem to get myself fit during the summer only to eat too much and slump on the sofa as soon as it gets cold. I don't seem to be very disciplined when it comes to exercise.
Have a lovely evening. Give my ,love. to pondboy.

Hi Fly
Not Chinese this evening. We're going to The Crooked Billet in Stoke Row, it's where Kate Winslet had her wedding reception. If you look at www.thecrookedbillet.co.uk you will even be able to see the menu! I've been starving myself all day and I'm really looking forward to it, especially as we're not paying!
Going out in an hour so I must find my make up bag and trowel!
