Thanks, my mate. It's looking very nice in here tonight. Is it OK if I sit infront of the fire? Those cushions are just soooo inviting. OMG I dpn't know what/who I just sat on but it screamed. Tomorrow I diet!
BTW - a top-up? Thank you so much.

Oh sh1te, it wasn't black and white with a brown patch on it's eye, was it? Don't quite know how to tell you this. Look, everything happens for a reason. How was I to know the moggy wasn't a cushion? How can I sleep now? Oh hell!!!!!

Are you still there, Corrie? Any of that wine left?
Saw your posting elsewhere about "The Beach". It's brilliant, you'll really enjoy it.
Are you feeling better?

Hey, darling, the wine is on tap here. For you
I can't remember where I posted about 'The Beach' but I do know that I can't wait to get stuck into it. Fact you recommend it, too, makes me all the more eager.

Hello FBN,
I don't think so. Perhaps I should quiz the bar steward who took over from me when I turned in for the night.
Kind Regards

Hiya,
Have been worried stupid about the cat! Given the size of my bum I have been in despair! Pleeeeease tell me he is I'll meet any vet's bills, Evan. The lovely multi-coloured cushions mixed so well with the cat I simply had no idea that as I was lowering my generous behind I was asphyxiating the poor unsuspecting moggy.
Please may I have a large glass of ?
Dinner is in the oven, it's Friday night, and all is well (except said cat).
How are things with you?

Hello Mustard Seed,
Well after a couple of nights on the tiles (Or was it a hot tin roof? Probably the former as we haven't had any hot weather this year yet!) Hunger got the better of him, so he decided to come home for breakfast. Wolfed down two big tins of food straight away. So, no real harm done.
Me, I'm OK really.
coming up.

Just had a look at some of the tales on that page. Very interesting, particularly the Canadian 'Big freeze'. I have relations over there too.
The solar flare article was interesting. I'd love to see an Aurora Borealis(?)
I certainly see the extremes of weather in my job as a postie. Floods, gales, hot & cold extremes. Its not a bad interest to have when your job is outdoors, is it?!
Thanks for thinking of me.

You're welcome.
More ? You don't know me very well yet, Evan. Yes pleeeeese
Before I die I have to see the Aurora Borealis and go to Tuscanny. Every 10 years or so the sun has increased activity and at that time the AB is visible in more southern regions. Right, just so you know, I get rather worked-up about extreme weather. Thunderstorms blow me away, big-time! Rainbows are so mind-blowing, too. So, the AB? Totally and phenomanally over-the-top passion! (God showing off, I call it.) I have never seen it - even growing up in Scotland! Many years ago I was at work late. The next morning I heard someone saying that the AB had been visible the night before. Nicky, a girl I worked with, said in a most disinterested fashion, 'Oh yeah, I saw some funny lights in the sky last night.'
I cried and cried and cried!

I felt a bit sad at missing a recent Aurora display that was visible in the South. Mind you whenever there is a rare heavenly display of any kind doesn't the weather always conspire to ensure that you can't view it. Have you noticed that, whenever there is supposed to be a meteor shower or lunar eclipse? I only just managed to enjoy the solar one in 1999 before the sky completely clouded over. It wasn't total over my part of the country, about 97%, enough to darken the sky a bit.
I also seem to be the only one that didn't see the lightning that accompanied that snowstorm that caused such chaos on the roads a month or two ago Mind you I'm glad I wasn't driving that evening.
