Lansing mini-meet

Back in my hotel room after a nice dinner on my own. The lady at the testaurant who meeted and greeted scored a point when she asked me whether I'd like a table in the lounge section or the bar section and I chose the bar "as I'm just me." To which she answered "You're not just you. You're you!" smiley - smiley

But I digress... What's the important thing is obviously that some logistical planning was crowned with a wee mini-meet over coffee with Shagbark Hickory smiley - smiley Nth time in Lansing and only now I realise that it's home to a fellow hootoo'er. Thanks for stopping by smiley - biggrin

Oh, and the Hootoo calendar is lovely!

NaJoPoMo! Nov 30: Red Red Wine

(UB40)

...fairly much describes what we did last night after the 8-hour standing up session at the exhibition was over. Oh, not quite - there was a 20-minute standing up waiting for a train to Paris and then the half-ish hour in the train standin up. Feet? Do I have feet??

But the wine, a CĂ´tes de Nuits, was nice and went down very well. Did get some good company - we went very Parisian and had soupe a l'oignon for starters smiley - smiley

Two more days at the show - yesterday, in business terms was good and if things go as they do, the second day is the busiest one...

NaJoPoMo! Nov 29: Bad

(Michael Jackson)

Which pretty much - if anything, inadequately - sums up the quality of the Croque Monsieur I just had half an hour ago inside the Par des Expositions. smiley - yuk

And this is Paris , presumably the culinary capitol...

NaJoPoMo! Nov 28: On the Road Again

(Katie Melua)

I'm cheating - haven't actually heard the song. But I am.

Currently hurrying to get mails synchronised to my PC - there are a few things I'd like to have a look on during the flight to Paris. And those are not really suitable for an iPhone screen.

Just had an avocado/tomato/mozzarella sandwich and a nice juice and will sip my double shot latte on the way to A20. (Joe & the Juice is my new favourite place at the airport).

Au revoir!

NaJoPoMo! Nov 27: Babe

(Styx)

smiley - musicalnoteBabe, I'm leaving, I must be on my way
The time is drawing near
My train is going, I see it in your eyes
The love, the need, your tearssmiley - musicalnote

Well, it is not really that dramatic and the cast is a bit off - it's Mrs SG V who is leaving by train today. Not that I'll really be a grass widower - I'm off for Paris tomorrow. Yes, that means that we're leaving the kids to their own destiny until Thursday... smiley - yikes

They'll cope - 15 & 18 now, And C not only has her driving license, we're also leaving the car back home, so she'll be able to get shopping done easily if needed.

We'll be back Thu and Friday, respectively. I'll be much mistaken if they aren't actually looking forward to it smiley - smiley
