h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've popped by as one of the assistant community editors here(aka <./>aces</.&gt. We voluntarily greet newbies such as yourself and help you get nicely settled. That bit of an introduction will suffice for now, you can always edit it/add to it as you become more familiar with 'us lot' - so Next to familiarize yourself with everything, review my colleague Feisor's list of Hints and Links at A719840, as well as examining the various features in the process. Among the obvious items Feisor mentions are the assortment of <./>smileys</.>. You'll discover many many other things though.

Further down the list is The h2g2 Post's Links Page, which reveals numerous other points of interest. Some examples on a global scale are the Researchers' Map at A5076614, the Regional Researchers' Groups at A660313 and the Living Earth Society at A765263. And although it's not listed there(I don't believe it is), there's a photo gallery that's been maintained by a researcher in Spain. You'll find all the details at A20917604, so you can see a number of the faces that comprise this community. Again there's much more awaiting discovery.
