Who is this ''Mr Pedantic?''
I am a retired Civil Servant, almost totally computer illiterate until recently. At the time I retired (about 15 years ago) I had a computer in my office which cost about £2500 and had a Hard Disk with a capacity rather less than the RAM on this present machine. How times change!! I don't think there was such a thing as the Internet then; if there was, it was certainly in its infancy.
I have always had an extremely active and searching mind (the rest of me being considerably less active!) and the introduction into this household of Herbert (the computer) last July has proved something of a challenge. I am managing to rise to it, though (with a considerable amount of help from two daughters, a son-in-law and a grandson).
