ouch! sounds rather nasty and painful
for something like that though you might need to take them I'm afraid. I must admit I hate taking tablets so I'll put up with pain if I can, but sometimes I really do need tablets.
Don't be hard on yourself, one day you'll be able to stop taking the painkillers completely. I hope it's soon for you as well.

So what sort of stuff do you like to do here on hootoo? How did you get involved?

Sometimes it does us good to have a little moan about things, especially if it's a long term thing which can get us down from time to time.
Well, I've done a bit of joining in on the odd conversation, but I must admit some of them do fly 30,000 feet over my head at times! I discovered the site cos my cat Simba had fleas and I wanted to know if there was something in my blood which attracted them, cos my ex husband (who still lives with me for the mo, which can be a trifle difficult at times espec as he's hell bent on getting back together!)doesn't get bit. So at the mo I'm on antihistamines, treated the cat and the house and just waiting for my legs to look half decent again. Am currently sporting the "gorillas in the mist" look cos I can't shave or use creams (and as for waxing! tried it once and never again)

Thanks
I am enjoying myself at the mo, but unfort I have to go now. Arranged to go to Wales for the day and getting picked up at 10 am and I'm still in my pj's so I best get my ass into gear!
I hope we can catch up again soon, I'm off sick at the mo due to a neck injury (nothing major, just can't do my job as a care assistant for obvious reasons)
I'm sure you'll have plenty of others to chat to today, cos it is addictive ain't it? If you feel like a chat when I'm on line feel free to drop a line.
Take care of yourself and enjoy the rest of the day!

Hello again Jules.... how are you and I hope your day in Wales is going well....
Well Fanny and Vaginas, tough topic of conversation. Being a brit myself the only thing I can add is a term I heard through a member of my family which is is a twat is a pregnant fish. As for the others I would just say that slang terms have different meanings in different parts of the world so Fanny could mean anything elsewhere. Well Vagina is the 'technical' term if you pardon the cold nasty description for that.... So it is less easy to get different meanings for that technicallity oh my god this all sounds so dogdy if looked at out of context
Sorry I was being chatted up errr *goes into my normal shy guy routine* errr nice... *takes a deep breath*

Hi Peter
It's a bloody good job I love my cat so much cos he's nearly dog food now! My little darling has decided that I wasn't giving him the love and attention that he deserves so he decided to make typing difficult for me! First of all he nabbed my chair so I was typing stood up, then he decided to chip in by walking over the keyboard so you got a lot of gibberish and spaces and big patches of blank space cos he sat on the return key, then to cap it all he bloody well waited 'til I was about to sign my name and he deleted the whole bleeding lot (I don't even know how to do that!) It's a good job he's so darned cute. He's black with gorgeous green eyes, 3 years old and very pretty looking, he also makes it impossible to stay angry at him for long cos one look at his little face and I'm either or my heart melts and I appologise to him and smother him with affection (that cat knows how to play me!)
Ok, here goes 2nd attempt. Wales went ok considering I went with my ex and his dad to see his relatives. Well I'm still on good terms with them and I can't just cut them out of my life after 14 years, they don't deserve it and they're good enough not to let the divorce affect it. I haven't actually seen his Auntie, Uncle and Cousin for a good 12 months because I started the proceedings at that time and felt awkward and had enough to cope with with my feelings and then my Dad found out he had cancer and later died, so I refused to go to see them until now. We lost my Mother-in-law 2 years ago this month as well so we did reminiscing, crying etc...... I absolutely love the scenery in Wales, so we did a scenic route through the mountains. I always feel like I've come home when I go there. Maybe I lived in those sort of surroundings in a past life, who knows!
I will have to remember the pregnant fish by the way! Next time someone pees me off I'll turn around and say "You're just a pregnant fish!"
As for it sounding dodgy..... don't worry hon I'm used to attracting dodgy characters (only joking, I don't think you're dodgy, but I do tend to attract the weirdo sector of the population)
I should actually warn you by the way about my true character , although I may seem like a shy, reserved, well brought up young(ish) lady () I do have a habit of shocking people so beware! My Mum very often threatens to disown me, especially when I get together with my younger Sis (then she threatens to disown us both), but I'll let you find that out for yourself
So what are you up to now? Haven't even checked if you're on line come to think about it? Did you survive last night at work, and shame on you for using the company's time and resources for your own personal pleasures ( that sounds a bit rude doesn't it? I know the correct word is swimming around in my brain, but it won't surface at the mo!)I would never ever ever do that
Speak to you soon
Jules

Hello Jules....
Well been a crazy few days offline as I have been making preperations for my holiday to Cyprus... Cannot wait as I fly out for 3 weeks. So if I am not online do not worry and I am sure we will have a lot to discuss and chat about when I get back... I will probably have a back log of about 4000 posts to read as well... Keep me busy at least
Well I have 2 cats and a dog living with me and one cat terrorises the dog me and friends have nicknamed him evil the cat as he doesn't miaow he growls..... Your cat sounds quite cute reminds me of one we had years and years ago (gawd now I sound old at 25....)
Glad to hear you had a good time in Wales though I can certainly understand at the awkwardness and difficulty of the situation (I have a good imagination). I just hope things work out alright for you
oo er, dodgy characters in your life... Do I want to know ? As for me I just considor myself unique like everyone on this planet ....
Well luckily I am shocked very rarely... Surprised yes, but shocked less so as I have seen and heard alot in my time... but sounds intriging
Well with using the companies resources for our pleasure we are actully recommended and encouraged to use the companies intranet at work (when not taking a call or calls queing) as it used as a system tool... hootoo is a nice side benefit to this though my bosses' bosses' boss does keep saying that the company intranet is costing the AA 1 million a day to run and that is down to me and one other guy who is on there all the time
I am enjoying my last day off now, back in work on Saturday and then off from work for over 3 weeks *does a little dance*...
How are things with you and I hope life is treating you well or at least above average
Peter....

Hi Pete
Good to hear from you! Know all about things being crazy, since coming on here my life has got busy elsewhere as well. Cyprus is one of the many places I'd love to see so I'll look forward to hearing all about it.
*contemplates if she can get by on a bikini and the clothes she's sat in if she squeezes herself into Pete's suitcases. Looks down at size of stomach and considers she's not got into that bikini for how many years?, plus bikini is black and skin is milk bottle white so could be mistaken for an orca and harpooned by ruthless fishermen*
Hmmm, I dread to think how big your backlog will be! It will keep you out of mischief for a bit no doubt!
Oh my, a house full then! Not sure if Simba would react kindly if I got another animal, he's too spoiled. Did take a little female kitten in for the night last year though. She was gorgeous, ginger and white with blue eyes, very pretty looking (perfect match for Simba I thought, they couldn't have young uns though cos I had him done when I got him) she was really affectionate and inquisitive. As I opened the door one night to come in from work she shot past me and into my house. Luckily Simba was out for the night, I fed her and gave her some milk and water and she slept with me for the night. (She didn't have fleas btw I checked first. When my ex came in in the morning Simba followed him and she went to investigate. After that it was like something out of a nature programme. She kept hissing and growling at him and they kept their distances, whenever Simba crept near she'd warn him off. It was marvellous to watch, but it all ended too soon when the little lady decided she'd had enough of our hospitality.
*passes Pete a zimmer frame as he's officially old at 25 considers own age*
Yep, did have a good time in Wales thanks. As for dodgy characters I usually get the ones sitting next to me on the bus telling me all kinds of weird and wonderful things. I guess people get lonely and need someone to talk to, but do I always have to attract them? Must be something about me.
Hmmmm *considers applying for AA job* you'll tell me anything! An expensive perk, but a fun one. Well I may not be going on hol, but when you consider I've been off work for 2 months and just reminded myself to ring GP to arrange another sicknote, life ain't that bad! Are we going to have a countdown btw, just to make everyone green with envy? Just make sure you prepare to pay for excess luggage when you get to the airport *considers if she can not eat for next 3 weeks to get in bikini* would need a bloody miracle for that! LOl.
Speak to you soon (nope that ain't helping the diet)

Flamestrike Posted Jun 25, 2004
sorry just to clarify - I am going in three days for over 3 weeks... sorry....
well my place of work aint so bad... they treat you like kids and try to make there moneies worth out of ya but hey....
How come you need a sicknote? nothing to bad I hope....
Nowhere near old at 25, my parents are 50+ and they still holiday a lot, scuba dive, so you are as old as you feel....
Well I do get extra baggage room for Scubadiving equipment so if you can weigh as much as airtank....
Well until soon hopefully...
Take care

Julie (AKA Ann Maurice...the motto is, lighten, brighten, declutter and accessorise) Posted Jun 25, 2004
Damn! No use to sticking to diet then if you're going in 3 days! Unfortunately I weigh far more than an air tank hon, so I guess sneaking into your luggage is a no no. Never tried scuba diving yet but it's one of the things I'd like to do as well as snorkelling and swimming with dolphins. *jules pictures herself in full gear* just pmp! God they would think I'm one of the inhabitants!
Just a neck injury (trapped nerve or sommat) been off for two whole months now, money is crap but I'm not missing work. Well alright I do miss it sometimes, and it's gonna be strange when I go back. Waiting for physio appointment to come through and if it's anything like the month I had to wait to have an x-ray! So I'm a lady of leisure these days.
As for being as old as you feel I prefer to say you're only as old as the man/woman you feel
I bet you can't wait to go can you? I'll look forward to hearing all about it, seeing this is the dig me a hole thread.
Speak to you soon

Flamestrike Posted Jun 25, 2004
Can I ask a question... Are you on MSN Mesenger?
Well you should see me in the diving gear though I must admit I am blessed with a body that gets tanned easily....
Ouch - trapped nerves can be so painful at times though but glad your enjoying yourself while us mere mortals are trudging to work each day
Yes I have heard that one before so how old is yours?????
I will promise nothing but I will let you know what happens....
Talk to you shortly
Peter

Yes I am on msn messenger, you can reach me under the [email protected] if you'd like to. I have a few friends that I speak to on it, it can be an easier and more private form of talking.
The only time I tanned was when I spent a solid week chiiling by the pool, I caught it really badly despite sun cream and took my sunglasses off for the first time (I had very sore frog like eyes in the morn)
The necks not too bad, apart from when my ex repeatedly hangs on my shoulders to see what I'm upto!
Not really got one at the mobit of a confusing time on that score!
Speak to you later!

Flamestrike Posted Jun 25, 2004
In the eyesight due to drinking... If so good excuse
Can see that getting annoying, have you asked him to stop?
and who knows maybe things will improve on that score?
