I'm just one of the many Assistant Community Editors here. We pop in on the recent registrants to greet/welcome them & give them some directions for getting around the site. Before I go any further, can I offer you a ,
,
,
or anything? Those're just a few of the smileys, you'll find the complete, categorized list@ A155909 . It has simple instructions for using/creating each one & you'll be able to refer back to it at any time by just typing smileys into the search window.
Since you're quite new, you can check the 'I am new, what do I do now?' page@ A868098 , or for a welcome other than mine, check the 'Welcome page'@ A53146 ...& I suppose whether or not you feel any panic in the air, you can take the <./>dontpanictour</.> .
For decorative purposes, you can look at 'spicing up your page'@ A719840 , as well as 'the picture gallery'@ A692741 . A third option is 'the GuideML clinic', which I've heard isn't all that difficult if you've done any HTML programming, that's@ A187229 .
Four of my esteemed ACE colleagues have compiled lists of links designed to help new researchers. Shea's List can be found @ A534953 , Seraphina's Links are@ A1919937 , Midnight Angel's Links'll be@ A1103815 , while Feisor's List of Links are@ A719840 . Feisor suggests getting out & meeting people, so with that in mind I'd like to extend an invitation to you to pop by my space/page at some point. Just click on my underlined nickname at the top of this message, or I suppose just use the 'Reply' button below to leave me note & I'll get back to you.
In any case, take your time going over those links & looking around, certainly lots to see & do here. Good to have you onboard, so to speak Rangerchick. Let me know if you're having any priblems settling in, ok. *waves* Bye for now!
