Ahhh, the little rascal. A good thing you don't have a dog or the evidence would have "vanished". I expect he didn't go outside as planned then, eh?
Milady is from a fishing village of northern New Brunswick, and I have lived and worked in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Seafood is as much a staple of our diets as finances will allow.

Nope, no dog. His sisters would stuff the food anywhere and everywhere when they lived with us...grrrr! In the end they wised up and used to take great big mouth fulls and suddenly need the toilet - didn't find that one out till the toilet was blocked one time
No he didn't go outside last night, and has now been threatened with tonnes of vegetables as a result for the rest of the week...
Geo is a Mainer, and is heavily into fish, lobster, clams etc.
He is always amazed that I'm not really heavily into fish and stuff being as I'm from a small island - namely the UK I do like it, but I like mine from fish and chip shops....I can't cook to save my life!

Ahhhh, I only wish I would have paid some attention to kitchen stuff as I grew. I could only make toast when I stepped into the world on my own. My first work, I had to cook for myself. Too many frozen and canned foods (late 1970's version), I very nearly attained scurvy. Visible during that first morning visit to the "loo".
I can personally do without lobster, clams and oysters. But I have yet to meet a shrimp or (fresh or salt-water) that I don't like.

Erm...well still procrastin' over the test...haven't got another job yet, but trying...actively looking for an apartment..we went to see one on Saturday but the bedrooms were so TINY barely enuff room for a queen bed and even then the door wouldn't open all the way.
How's about you?
Hiya, Lady L'Artiste
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted May 31, 2005
Life goes on as per normal, ... working, trying to meet the bills.
I wouldn't worry over-much about the test, just keep on 'practicing' the bits you felt unsure of, and do it when you've the time. The 2nd time, the nerves are usually a lot less bother.
As to the bedroom door not opening, perhaps that's a subtle hint. That you ain't supposed to LEAVE it.
Actually, I think most apartments on this side of the pond assume a double-bed as the average. Heaven help anyone with a king-size, eh? You'd have to stand it vertical.

I don't know what they were thinking..at that point even the two rooms together made a small bedroom...but not minisickle... the mind boggles...

Well went to view one today, and it wasn't half bad, so it's nice to know that there are apartments out there with rooms that are larger than a first class stamp

I hadda try, eh good Lady?
I'm guessing that you are looking for atleast a 3-bedroom affair, room for everyone and a bit of office-area. What seems to be the asking price ranges that you meet? Simply curious ...

Researcher 556780 Posted Jun 1, 2005
Roughly around $1000 give or take a 100...incl hot water and heat, a nice sized two bedroomed apart, perhaps with a den or not..not really bothered just wanna keep the price down.
In retrospect the one we looked at last night was all of those things...actually well $1050, but it was right by an outdoor community swimming pool and a kids paddling pool which is all very nice, but probably quite noisy in the Summer right?
Other places to call later on this is fun!

Even if you were talking in Canuck currency, I'd find those numbers a bit steep. And since your $ is generally 25-30% more valued than our, ... But then I suppose it all depends on the size of town or city you live in as well. I'm in a little place of about 20,000 peoples.
I guess the noise levels would go up in the thick of summer heat. But if it's a relatively modern structure, with air conditioning ... patio doors and windows closed (or mostly) would alleviate that.

No your quite right, it is very expensive in realty around here, either to rent or buy...ah well...
Yes that is true...with a/c and windows and doors shut it would be bearable. Still there are other places to see.

Just one suggestion, if you aren't already ... Keep a written record of which places were what prices. And any pro's or con's. I didn't do that one time, and very quickly started being confused as to which WAS the preferred. , eh?

I have indeed, but thanks for the tip anyway - it's a good one.
I even use highlighters...

You must remember that, besides being "only a male", I am far older than you. So I need every memory aide I can find.
