And as caring and affectionate, protective and assertive as they can be, ... they really DO need much more care and attention, eh? I love dogs, larger breeds rather than the pocket-sized ankle-nippers. But really can't see us having one, even with quite a spacious yard.
Meanwhile, are you getting braced for loads and loads of rains? Or are they arriving in your zone already? We expect 'em this evening.
And lastly, of course your bum doesn't look big in this tag-line.

The leading clouds seem to be moving in fairly quickly here too. So it may well be wet before supper time. It's the expected season. Atleast it's not like the rare one that slides up the other side of the Appalachians, ... collecting lots more water to beat on the eastern seaboard. And my little girl living in Newfoundland.

A little flusterated that it takes me five minutes between "clicks" here today. And sharing some sniffles with the Mrs, complements of autumn having struck. But other-wise, doing pretty much normal.
Do ya have a good hex or chant that might influence a Canuck lottery? There's $40-million up for grabs, and I'd cut you in for a slice.

Nope sorry...
I've been trying for years on the NY one, and nothing works....
You could always buy a ticket and then pretend you don't need it and throw it away in a pretend bin...and then only then by the skin of your teeth..will you win..unless of course you really do lose it..then its garry-un-teed that you win.

Nawwww, I'd put it somewhere perfectly safe. Not to be seen again until we move house-hold. Which probably ain't for another decade.
So I take it you aren't related (by marriage) to the $340-mill winners, huh?

Not that I know of, altho if I knew their names and background, I'm sure I could find a link to their family tree

I have to pop off and dress for work now..perhaps I'll be able to sneak online later if the computers are working etc and it's a slow night.
Don't get many slow nights tho
...and they are updating Cerner today with bandaids n' things called patches and messing with data bases...so I have to figure out my settings for my med manager again...and all sorts of inconvenient stuff..
..altho on the upside we have very purdy flat screen (dell) 'puters and slimline towers that I could fit into my purse even I want some..
Toodly pip!

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Oct 24, 2005
Well take good care of you. And don't set off too many alarums with the slim-case in the purse.
See ya around, Lady.

I didn't get to play online..except to look for an online metric converter cos a wanted to know how many cc's were in a gallon...jeez...why on earth would she want to know that...I'll ask her later on today I think I hope she didn't intend to inject all of that...
The computers went down at 7pm yesterday...and all hell broke loose supposedly they were back online by 5am this morning - we shall see when I get in later..the RPH's had to do all the paperwork by hand...poor guys..there's gona be lotsa crap today to do..I left all my paperwork from yesterday so I have double the work today *whine*
How is your day today...wotcha upto right now, apart from reading this and responding..what should you be upto?

I should be reading the original documentation, and dissecting a 1980-vintage radio thingie. So that I can fabricate a test and validation set-up, write the techy manuals needed for it, and lots of other associated stuff.
So of course I am naturally browsing the Great Hootoo.
Hmmmm, I'll bet there ARE a whole lotta cc's in a gallon, eh? Of course, I'd have to ask her "which gallon"? The US at 120 ounces, or the imperial at 160 ounces? Just to her, of course.
Hiya, Lady L'Artiste
Researcher 556780 Posted Oct 25, 2005
Yeh there's a fair few, and I did check the US one
I can't recall the exact figure...3,700 and something...that's a lorra sticks...arrrgh!
Radio thingie...sounds very complex.
Hiya, Lady L'Artiste
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Oct 25, 2005
At first glance, any electronics seems pretty complex. But with a bit of experience, you'd find that so much of it is just the same half-dozen thingies, .... Used in different ways.
So really, why do ya suppose she wanted to know the conversion? Did she maybe find a gallon of something with a really, REALLY good street price? And just what would your cut be?

Researcher 556780 Posted Oct 25, 2005
You know, I never even thought of THAT...yeesh!
I'm not devious enuff or suspicious enuff...I really must cultivate that more..
I have no idea why she wanted to know...I thought that mebbe she was writing a paper or filling in some info and really wanted to annoy someone with a rather incongrious insane amount of cc's - the only thing that we give out in gallons is golytely and believe me I wouldn't buy it or even drink it for free it's stuff to clean your innards out you have to drink it all one sitting as much as you can anyhow...

Maybe it's for some really weird supply requisition? Many years ago, when I was working at a transmitter site, we tried to aquire a few simple corn-brooms for the work shop. Apparently, we weren't entitled. So we ordered 6 broom-sticks/handles, and something like 37,619,406 broom bristles.
The only reply from the warehouse? "Why so many?"

Researcher 556780 Posted Oct 25, 2005
hmmm...you could be right...I didn't really give it much thought at the time, was snowed under with too many phonecalls and having write out stuff..I WILL ask her tho, if I remember when I see her!
I was so busy with calls last night I even forgot one poor nurse on a line dealing with two other calls and another nurse trying to get an orders sorted. Went to the pxyis machine to do something a few mins later, and found the phone off the hook and realised...a minute later she called and said, "did you forget me" of course me being honest...said yes...I was mortified and horrified that I'd forgotten....
She was really nice about it...and later on I called back and apologised again... I felt dreadful.
Shall most likely have to say sorry again tonite.
Hiya, Lady L'Artiste
Researcher 556780 Posted Oct 25, 2005
I can't believe you had to order the broom bristles separately!!!
Sounds like our medical centre... budgets are always a bone of contention.
