Hey you, ... I see your "eyes" open.
I am on the missus' portable right now, on dial up. Because I tried to tie it to the broad-band and thus broke the main home PC connection. Murphy and such, eh?
So, does micro-G have that tooth yet?

As usual, life goes on here. I finally stopped procrastinating and hunted up some airline tickets to my grandson's christening. And I'm glad I waited. A month ago, the best I could do was about $870, ... I now have them locked for $437, all taxes, tariffs and surcharges included.
So the first week of April, I get to spend with my daughter, son-in-law and the 3 grands. I mean, ummm, isn't that nice?

May I request that you make it between April 1st and 7th? I'll be on the island of Newfoundland, and unless you really have a heavy foot, I should be safe.

Really, Lady, I do wish you every success. A valid license does open up a whole new world, especially with that little force you have in the family. You become so much less dependant on others, public transports being on time, you simply look , all of those important things.
In Ontario, the nasty folks instituted a "graduated" system a number of years ago. After success with the written (and vision) tests, there was a minimum time in months before you could go for a G1 license. No major road-ways, always with another licenced driver, never after dusk nor before dawn. (Imagine the brief driving day in our more northern winters.) And, of course, ZERO alcohol measures allowed. After a year, I believe, some version of testing would take them to a G2 license. Same restrictions, but without the need for another licensed driver. Eventually, another year or two, a proper road test could qualify you to an unrestricted "G-class" license. In all, nearly 5 years or so from start to full license.

Wow..that is really extreme!
I shall stop moaning then...jeez...!
How are things with you today?
I'm considering looking at the test again and may pop to the DMV today..we shall see...school seems to be closing every five minutes at the mo with the weather..

I've seen where our Maritime provinces are taking a wind and rain beating. Are you receiving some of that? We have crystal clear skies. But with the temperature holding around -14 C (wind-chill-factor, about - 22 C) it's a fine day to stay in-doors. {About 7 F and -8 F repsectively}
Yeah, I think the newer method of licensing goes way to far toward insuring "seasoned" people on the roads. There really ought to be some happy medium, eh?
So once more, bonne chance with the testing. I've always found the different versions of written tests to be 90% common sense, and the rest a bit of memory work and luck.

It's pretty damn cold here too 6F, I don't want to think of the windchill have to go stand at the busstop soon...that nose crackling feeling is really bizzare..
Thanks for the bonne chance I will let you know later on this afternoon if I chickened out - and stayed in and found something urgent to do..

I wait to see how or when the DMV business goes. Another day.

Perhaps a few vapours got to the PC, ... from someone celebrating a success today?
I have one suggestion for when you practice your driving, .... ANYONE except a spouse. I have seen divorces for less than that.
Congratulations, dear Lady. and
