Well, congratulations on finding your way to h2g2, and another congrats is in order for passing your driver's test- woo who!!
Well, I imagine your friends are helping you get settled here, but if you need further help, be sure to ask myself, Peta, Mark Moxom, or Bruce- we're here to help!

Did I for some reason show up as being a new researcher or was it just that there's a huge backlog of new user pages to visit? I've actually been helping my friends get settled on h2g2 after introducing them to it
Congrats!

Actually, a little from Column A, a little from Column B... no, actually, some of us can't stand to see a page that nobody has talked about, that's all.... We actually check up on your pages, too... I was aware you've been around, I just felt that you needed to be officially greeted!
Congrats!

It's great to know that somebody's noticed me! As of about four days ago I got another friend on h2g2, but I can't take the credit for making him sign up - he did it all by himself. And yes, it is a shame to see a home page where nobody's said anything. But it's even worse to see a home page where the researcher hasn't written anything. Well, I think so anyway.
Continue the official greetings - isn't that what Peta's recruiting Sub-community Editors for?
Congrats!

Yes... that is what she is doing... she's a little behind the ball though... there have been quite a few of us doing that job for a couple of months, ever since she officially became community editor... we even check her own forums (the sub-ed forum is almost never checked by her, for example)
Congrats!

I would expect she's a very busy woman, what with all us field researchers demanding things all the time.

Can't say I've ever worked at it from that way round before but you're going to need to put Windows on your primary boot drive unless you want to try it the tricky way... I normally work from Windows users wanting Linux as well, but it should be real easy if you have a second hard disk or multiple partitions you don't mind losing one of. I'll be back in touch when I work out how to do it.
Key: Complain about this post
Congrats!
