Hi MaW
do you know if there is a Macintosh based version of the editor.
I am using Mac OSX which, I am lead to believe is UNIX based.

At the moment, no, sorry! When I get some time (whenever that might be) I do hope to write a Linux GuideML editor, to complement GuideDog which is being developed by other Researchers for Windows. This will use things which should allow it to run on Mac OS X provided you install certain UNIX stuff - probably more than you want to just for a GuideML editor though.
However, since I'll be using gtk as the GUI library, and one of the future goals of gtk is to have a native Mac OS X display system so you don't need to install an X server and so that it uses Aqua, things might start looking better... you never know.
