Yeah, had Computer Communications and Networks, great lecture that! We're learning all about the principles behind and problems with Internetworking, which is the art of connecting multiple networks together but fooling the computers that are on them into thinking they're on a single virtual network. Of course, the best example of an internet is _the_ Internet, but that's a little too large for convenient example slides, so we tend to stick with the idea of internetworking three networks...

It's quite interesting, all about how IP works, and why IPv6 needs to be adopted soon because the Internet's getting too big for IPv4. The current standard only allows an absolute maximum of 2 to the power of thirty-two computers to be connected to one internet at once. Obviously with the Internet this is coming up soonish, so IPv6 allows 2 to the power of 128 computers! That's quite a lot...

IP actually works, I must have missed the memo.

Someone shoule tell YahooGeocities, cos they are certainly not working
