OK, I put the picture up. You should move all of the pictures on your home page to that other site so I can see them. Otherwise it takes ages to load your home page (have to wait until the browser gives up trying www.frizzychick.cwc.net).

Hey, psychic - that is exactly what I have just been doing. I wonder why the other ones didn't work. I had no problems from here, but needless to say, no idea if they were OK elsewhere. Cheers for letting me know I had dodgy pic problems.
(They're not very exciting, so don't get too anticipatory - um, that word exists)

Whoa, I just reloaded your home page without having read your reply here, and all of a sudden there were images! So I immediately delved into your html source, and found that, indeed, you had done just that. And now I find myself here reading your reply above, and I just don't know what to think any more.

Hey, those 'key' images that spell out 'Frizzychick', aren't those Tandy Colour Computer keys?
There we go...
Nick O`Teen Posted Oct 25, 1999
Ya, that's a neat 'font' idea. Funny how no computer these days would be recognizable by its keyboard keys.
I remember the Colour Computer (CoCo) had keys very similar to those. So that's a Spectrum? Did you make those images yourself?

No, unfortunately I do not have the graphical talent to do anything bonkers like making a font out of ZX Spectrum computer keys. I was up on some free font site looking for a favourite of mine that I lost when I had re-installed Windows (oh joy) - and I didn't have a copy. digress... anyway, I came across this little beauty and I just couldn't say no. Silly and frivolous and hardly what these powerful machines were invented for.

No no, that exactly the type of things that these powerful computers were invented for. If not that, then what is their use other than to challenge Microsoft into making the lastest fast processor feel as though it's actually a 486?

Yes I guess a vast number of powerful machines do no more than play a few silly games and allow people to spend far too long running up enormous phone lines contributing to weird websites as this one.
I'm afraid I am not feeling very talkative tonight. I have been mooching around this place (h2g2) and there is so much here and so much happening. I think I have fried my brain.

I hear you. I have a splitting headache right now, and there's still another forty minutes left 'til I get off work. Can't wait to get home and take a couple of tylenol and pray that my ADSL is working again.
Need a good conversational topic that isn't related to relationships, weevils, etc.

Frizzychick Posted Oct 25, 1999
Definitely need something both light-hearted but with teeth (if you get what I mean) (I'm not sure if I do). Anyway, I am giving up for now and retiring for the evening. I shall try to think of some spirited and exciting topic for our next chat.
I hope that a) your headache clears up, b) your final working minutes are enjoyable and c) your are reinstated with your ASDL connection.
Bon nuit.

I didn't notice your mispelling of 'ADSL' until you pointed it out. ha ha.
Right, have a grand evening. I'm just leaving for home now, and with any luck, I'll have my SLAD back when I get there.
Cheerio.
