Are you Caccers still about or taking a prolonged break?
Anyway, if you *do* have anything for the next issue could you please let me know asap.

Hello! I've been meaning to post something on this thread for a couple of months now, but I never had anything to wave at you, so I haven't done till now...
We do have something for the next Post!
Only problem is... I've never done this before and I'm just finding my feet, so could I ask a couple of questions?
Firstly - do you just need the A-Number sent to you by The Post's e-mail? (I know The Post makes its own copies with various things, but as far as I can work out, you just link to the CAC issue we get together, yes?)
Secondly - because this is all a bit last-minute... can we keep tinkering with the Entry itself up until publication day? You never know when something brilliant might not show up at the last minute, yearning to be bunged in there!
Er... it's Trin, by the way (U244483) I'm going to be handling CAC liaison for the UG from here on in, so I guess I need to know this (I imagine embarrassingly simple) stuff

Hi Trin
makes its own copy of everything that we link to from the front page of the issue, so that it reads "Written and Researched by" the author and "Edited by" the Post Team. So we'll make a copy of the issue you send us (you can either email us the A-number or just post it to this thread/our PS/somewhere), but all the entries linked to in your issue will still be your own copies. Thus you'll have to get a completed issue to us by our deadline - the Sunday before the next issue, in this case tomorrow. In certain circumstances (especially with long-standing contributors such as the CAC), we can extend the deadline, though, so if you need extra time (especially this week) just let us know and we can really stretch the deadline up till Tuesday. Try not to make a habit of that, though!
I hope that answers all your questions. I'm really glad to see the CAC up and running again.

Hi there
Understood - I'll try my best to get everything finalised by tonight, though it might have to be tomorrow. Then I'll be thinking about the next one as of that moment - just so it doesn't happen again
Although I'm hoping to acquire a few more hands for the next one
Thanks EMR

Yay!
There is nothing so joyful as a great idea whose time has come again, for it takes great minds to think along these likes!

Confession time After my burst of enthusiasm last time... well, real life kept getting in the way of scouting around for the next one.
So, no CAC. I feel bad.
Here's the thing - until the cavalry arrives (and there are moves afoot in the AWW to stir things up), I think monthly is practicable, where bi-weekly is looking a lot less so, at least at the moment. But I'd like the CAC to be a regular thing, so would monthly for sure plus others in between if I find the time/good stuff to put in it, be all right? In other words, I'll have something here in two weeks time.

>> So, no CAC. I feel bad. <<
It's a funny old feeling ain't it. A complete 180 from the heady joy of successfully taking up the standard and bearing it well. And then, amid the smoke and flying grapeshot one realises their own loss of blood on the battlefield, followed by a sense of failure, of letting down the side, even 'betrayal'.
But it gets easier after a while.
Especially when the old warriors buy you a drink and tell you that you've done well.

Well, it looks like there's not going to be an issue this week in any case, so don't worry about it. Do what you can; we're glad to have someone doing something at all.

Eeeeee... sorry to hear that
Right, I'll get on it. Is the next one likely to be next week, or the full fortnight?
(I appreciate I'm probably asking that question at entirely the wrong time).
