This society appears to be defunct!!
or at least - terribly dormant.
People are still posting to some of the conversations.

Found the H2G2 Living Earth Society today, looking for tsunami references, and applied to join.
The first Society I applied to join was the H2G2 Royal Geographic Society.
Looking for the Historical Society again - I found it once.
I haven't yet found the equation that transforms my researcher number into 42 - Any Carol Vordemans out there to help!
Have not yet found how to create a nickname.

First Entry
Posted Jan 17, 2004
Submitted my first entry to Peer Review today. Feeling a bit smug and pleased with myself - then realized that I would need to travel in time again - and at least sweep the corridors of my mind - to catch up with all things neglected.
Found old notebook with notes on the Great Earthquake, but realize that they are about the effects in the Algarve - not Lisbon. Will have to rethink a bit.
How many people know about it? Perhaps do a Part i and part ii.
Having bought 6 books yesterday must get down to some serious reading as well.

Busy Day
Posted Jan 11, 2004
Hopefully, as I wend away back to normality I have made the grade for the Fools' Guild and the Time Travellers.
Did I actually look up what I came online to do?
What a Fool! and I certainly lost time somewhere!

Wandering Around
Posted Jan 7, 2004
Still wandering from subject to subject, just like my thought processes. Rather like going online to look for Koi Carp and ending up at the Bermuda Triangle via 20 other subjects along the way!
Will be a bit more active tonight as will stay up till the taxi arrives at 4.30 am.
Guide Entries? - hhmm....
Garum - didn't come up in the search - but where would it go? History? Food? Perhaps there's a section on historical food.
Portugal - there doesn't seem to be much there.
Having dismantled the decorations - it being twelth night - I should be able to set the old computer up behind the front door and get in everyones' way!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
