Sometimes I'm glad most of my family is out of touch with me, as it means less drama of this sort.

I'm relieved to hear that the nephew wasn't injured too badly, relatively speaking (no pun intended).

His torn muscles will take quite a while to recover. It could so very easily have been worse.

His Guardian must have been watching over him that day

apologies if this is intruding (jesus,where's the obvious smilies when you need them), but hope your nephew is recovering well, & continues to do so.

Family communication can never be relied upon, IMO, unfortunately - word from the horses mouth - the medical staff - is much more reliable, but often not what the recipient actually wants to hear
