My goodness you have an adventurous daughter, Wonderful! I saw a programme on TV the other day on Cuba, and remembered that during the "troubles " in South AFrica suddenly two Cubans arrived at the University where I was wor4king as a rrsearcher, I have no idea why they came, nor how they came but I did wonder why they came, so steered fairly clear of them as I was really lily-livered. !!

I hope theu have a great time. Hypatia gives it the thumbs up so I am sure that they will.

Go well and I hope that their flight ended with their safe and happy arrival.

Yes, for a quiet child, VC has really grown up into a bit of a dare devil! It's nice to see my girls taking the opportunity to expand their horizon. If only they could afford it more often

I was surprised how many of VC's patients (she's a dental nurse) have told her they have been to Cuba. One has friends over there, so visits quite often. He's given her some good advice, together with places to see and things to do

It seems any restrictions are more on the legal side now. What they can take into the country and what they are allowed to bring out - things like that

Beaches are wonderful places to see sunsets from and listen to the sound of the waves coming on to the sound when the beach is empty of people is very relaxing.

Whenever I've been abroad and posted post cards, I always find that they arrive a week after I arrived home.
