i decided to go out today and stay in tomz, so i could mow the lawn, some hope, lol its been peeing down for hrs lol jim xx

I meant to ask what the food was like in hopsital? Or did your condition preclude sampling the culinary delights the NHS has to offer?

I work in a hospitable and we got a decent mark for food in the patient survey... but I've seen the menus!

Hope your tests come back well.

Actually, the meals weren't too bad. I really enjoyed most of the soups and main dinners. We were able to choose our meals most of the time, unless you were moved from ward to ward!


And we will find out soon enough about those tests

Did you have to choose your meal, or could you choose someone else's instead? I think that would be more fun, especially the part where you took the meal off them...

Now that would be a way to make things more *interesting*!

When I was last in hospital, they let you choose your dinner off a menu and then brought everyone the same thing anyway

Yes, we had days like that too

Last time I was in hospital they brought round a really nice menu in the morning. By lunchtime I was starving, and the smell as they brought the trolley round was wonderful. They got to me, by which point I was nearly drooling, but just walked past.

"What about me?"

"Oh, sorry, you're nil-by-mouth!"

NOW you tell me!

Mine just couldn't figure out what vegetarian food was. Literally *everything* - including breakfast - had meat in it, and meat literally makes me sick - not the thought of eating the poor animalsies, I just appear to be mildly allergic to a lot of it, and not having eaten it for years it would wreak havoc on my digestive system anyway.

Breakfast was cornflakes, breadroll, butter and jam..


We also had a vegetarian choice on the menu each day

I think I'll come to your hospital next time

But glad you're out of there anyway!
