Dognapping... Is it in your area??
Malabarista - now with added pony Posted Sep 16, 2006
Yeah, that's what we think... But dogs are possessions, by law, and since they bought him together, there's nothing we can do... He keeps him outside on the balcony, even in winter

Oh, if one tries that, he gets to come in, of course Thing is he's getting old (13 already) and so he's no good for showing off anymore... That's why, apparently, he stays outside. Sometimes, he's locked in the kitchen instead.

So why the fleck have they got him?
Dognapping... Is it in your area??

Because he still has visiting rights for my little sister - and if she doesn't want to go, or if my mother demands the child support he has to pay, he threatens to beat up the dog...

There comes a time when you really have to ask a couple of large chaps with sticks to have a word. It seems that there is animal cruelty, child support dodging and all round asspholeness going on there.

Malabarista - now with added pony Posted Sep 16, 2006
Yes, that's a rather apt summary... But I'm afraid that method wouldn't work, it's >>all round asspholeness<< by a guy with a black belt in karate...

Ah. To be honest I'm not really advocating chaps with sticks (I've had a few JD's and posted that whilst in a rage of, er, rageyness) but surely there must be something that can be done?
Four *very* big blokes with *very* big sticks in a *very* dark alley one night?

Well, at least it's teaching the youngest what kind of guy her father is, so she won't believe everything he tells her... But violence isn't a good way to stop violence.

True, but the law doesn't seem to be working.
I'd never advocate vigilantism - that just leads to paediatricians being beaten up, but what the hell are you supposed to do? Leave the situation as it is?.

Not much of a choice, is there? *sigh*

Am I right in thinking that you're in Spain?

I'm sure I knew that at one point! We've probably talked about it (I was born in Wegberg...)
Is keeping a dog outdoors in winter officially seen as animal cruelty in Germany? I don't think it is here (although it blatantly is animal cruelty).

I don't know - might be. Haven't found an obvious answer, it seems to depend on the animal, and the breed thereof, and all that.
But we're getting in touch with a lawyer now, anyway, he'll be able to shed some light on it, we hope.

Have you tried the 'shooting his kneecaps out method of persuasion'? also the 'length of wood with several nails in the end' technique is a good one. They both negate any advantage his karate may give him, as does wearing a motorcycle jacket with kevlar panels. Also, according to the uncle of an ex-girlfriend, no-one, not even a master can overcome four or more assailents at once. He should no he's one of those little old men who smile at you and make you feel like you're about to get your @$$ kicked.
PS I'd just like to point out that I'm a pacifist and do not believe in nor agree with violence for any reason.
