Journal Entries

Nose, Grindstone, say hello.

So back to work I go. The life of a temp is hard one, involving much effort and graft so as to look busy whenever anyone approaches your corner of the office. And I almost got away with it too if it wasn't for that pesky boss. At least I had the new Fortean Times to read and entertain me.

Anyway, I planning a short visit to Amsterdam in about months time to visit a old friend. Anyone with any recomendations for places visit in the city I'd be glad to hear them.

Watching: Ricky Gervais live in a little window on my computer screen
Listening: Windows Media Player on shuffle (it's currently playing some Jimi Hendrix)
Smelling: Still got a cold
Tasting: The remains of supper amongst my teeth

My first posting

Hello inhabitants of H2G2.

I signed up last week but having been away for New Year (Denmark if you're interested), and I've only now got around to actually writing something in My Space. I will endeavor to create an introduction at some point but for the time being I intend to try and keep this journal update daily (though not at it this late an hour) and also write a couple Guide entries. At the moment I'm thinking about doing something on the German TV show 'Dinner for One', which I saw for the first time this New Years Eve and I think would be an ideal subject for the guide.

One final thing: Why are the names for countries in different in different languages? Example, Germans don't call their country 'Germany', they know it as Deutschland. Alternatively, in German, Scotland is Schottland.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Watching: Naked Lunch (because Assault on Precinct 13 has just finished)
Listening: Assault on Precinct 13 soundtrack (for it is good)
Smelling: Not a great deal with the cold I have at the moment
Tasting: Lemonade
Touching: This keyboard (I can see this last sense being trouble).
