Why has Mark Whalberg appeared in so many remakes of 60's classic's?

That's three on the trot now (Planet of the Apes, The Truth about Charlie (Charade) and The Italian Job's). And why aren't any of them any good?

Busy...busy...busy
Posted Jan 8, 2004
I find myself in something of a 'doing' frenzy at the moment - actually getting stuff done as opposed to just thinking about it then letting everything all slide. It's a nice feeling of small achievement which I has been going since the start of year, I'm just wondering how long it's going to last.
Have been doing a little exploration around the site and wondering about this guide XL. Something to have a good look at some point I think.
Ideas for Guide entries: Durer, Lucas Cranach and Martin Luther. 'The Master and Margerita', Defunct computer magazines, speifically 'Yours Sinclair' (bugger, someone's already done that) and 'Amiga Power'(not this though and something about films (not sure what yet).
Off to Stoke tomorrow to visit the girlfriend so don't know when I'm posting next.

Minesweeper
Posted Jan 6, 2004
Everyone knows the Minesweeper game that's been in almost every version of windows since forever, don't they? Something occurred to me today when I was playing it for probably the millionth time (popular distraction aid that it is).
Why is it I never pick a mine on your first go?
How does that happen? As soon as you click it will tell you how many mines are around that first square but it's never that first one. It's like the computer is capable of reading your mind, making sure that your first move is a safe move. It's probably some simple programming trick but you never know, do you?
I'm thinking a bit too much into this, aren't I?
