*finally* the old forums have re-appeared from legacy moderation - prompting some renewed interest in our project.
I went for a quick shfty round the archives for nostalgia's sake and spotted a glaring ommission!
<./>A676442</.> - Part 10 - The Finalé isnt included in The Post's archive page <./>A669783</.>
Please can we fix this in case we get anyone reaching the 'end' and wondering what happened next!

While we are on the subject the latest forum is sort of reaching a climax (BIG fight scene) been a bit busy with uni so had to lay off contributing for a bit but expect to pick it back up June sometime. It's likely at the point that the story is going to lurch off in an entirely new direction. Do you still want us to submit the latest forums up until that point for publication in The Post? (I seem to remember you asking to have them submitted as plain text or is my memory playing sillybuggers again?)
Anyway let me know.
Clive
P.S I had drafted up this (almost) finished Cast-List in preparation.
<./>A685398</.> Just in case The Post wanted to give the story a second run.

Looking good Clive
Plain text would be best as the formatting last time didn't always quite work and took quite some sorting out at times (no critisicsm intended - ).
What would help is if you could break it down into bite-size episodes again - preferrably with a good suspensful cliffhanger at the end of each chapter... it worked well that way last time I think.
I'm pleased to see that most of my fave characters have survived into the new adventure anyway.

We've packed Arthur, X off to on some secret mission - quite what they've been uyp to all this time will be the subject of the next installment!
Plain Text it is.

Shall I start with the cast list this week then, or would you prefer a big build up in the editorial and start with that next week?

Can we hold off for a few weeks yet?
I've got my uni finals all lining up for the next couple of weeks
The current run isn't quite finished (almost but not quite) and I'd like to opportunity to diddle with the cast-list some more.
However, the format from before worked rather well, I thought. Running the cast-list the first week, then the segements of story - and finally compiled into the archive.
Two Questions:
Would the second run require a second archive or would it just be added into the first. Personally I'd prefer the latter as it is really just one HUGE run-on.
Second, What is the possibility of contract DoctorMO - to update the storytime blob image with "The Continuing adventures of..." or something like that. Actually I confess, I quite like the idea of a start trek spoof: H2G2 Storytime TNT (The Next Thread).
One other thing I was wondering, if DoctorMO was agreeable, was to do some illustrations to place in the text, for the story as one great big block of text is pretty unappealing to the eye. Just an idea.

No worries for waiting a few weeks Just shout when you're ready!
Mo has been rather absent for a few weeks, sadly, but I'll ask him and see what he thinks. He may find the work too intensive to come up with weekly illustrations, but might be able to portray leading characters or something like that. I'll ask him anyway... provided TPTB approve of all the graphic overload of course!
A second archive seems the best idea - besides it makes the main archive look impressive with more sections!

Re: archives. Sure. Whatever you think is best.
Re: pictures . Hmmm 'twas only an idea. so I raised it as a suggestion, I would not be dispondent if it could not go ahead.
I understand it would have been a lot to ask of someone. It needn't have been weekly. I was just thinking of ways to liven the story up a litle and I was so impresed with h2g2 storyime banner he came up with last time, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
So I guess the only question is what would Bob look like?

oh and regarding post # 5....
*you* had favourite characters in our 'umble little yarn - o' great editor-in-chief?

Aboslutely - Red Leicester was a worthy villain, Jill feisty and sex-mad, Tim a sneaky double-agent and Arthur suitably heroic - at times
Besides - who can resist AHA?

Oh you'll like the new batch then. Leicester and Tim gte plenty of air-time (so to speak) and the new villain is well...just plain nasty.

Great
I'm just tidying up the archive section of the stories - shortening lines and making the links better... I'll let you know when I've finished doing it

I've got an idea. Feel free to reject it.
If MO is available to at least do us another banner heading. Would it be possible to entreat him to make it possibly metal, with rivets and the odd lick of flame or two?
Y'see. I've just had this rather neat idea to sell the second update of the story on it's "Armageddon" theme.
One of our contributors just dreamt up something delicious in the style of Nostradamus - and I could just see it sitting beneath this flaming title like a page torn out of prophecy.

- thank you in advance...

I imagine it like built from iron girders, with rivets round the edge, lit in Red from below with the odd lick of fire or two.
Essentially what I would like to get a cross is the idea of a draconian state (maybe a curl of barbed wire or two..?) coupled with a sense of Armageddon. (hence the flames.)
This is just my imagination going off on one - the artistic license is entirely yours.
Thank You Again!
