Very much appreciate to keep me in the conversation flow, Bel.
I've just posted to that thread.
Glad you liked the poem. Flann O'Brien had so many literary personae that even he could not keep track of them. He considered himself to be a genius.

Well, that's part of what this site is about: exchanging experiences, links, talking, wrfiting guide entries. One of mine features the Front Page today, and it has a photo

Thanks, Bel. I'm off to explore your Front Page contribution. Have noticed that the first sentence of my last post makes very little sense, from a grammatical point of view. Tea was much needed at that moment.

Oh, don't worry about nonsensical sentences - from a grammatical pov I manage to post those all the time, I think it's mainly because I don't look at the monitor whilst typing, and I manage to either miss keys, or hit some neighbouring keys, etc.
I really should use the 'preview' option more often.

Dear electricEgyptian ~
"I'm surprised by people who get angry on chat rooms when they feel their freedom of expression has been curtailed."
~ Just to say that that made me laugh :~)
yours sincerely,

Everything has settled down nicely, I see. Shall work on simple grammar this week.
Yes, when I look again at the sentence quoted, it is amusing.

Oh, if you want to work on grammar, have a look at your second sentence
My last post was a reply to EMF's post, btw.
Are you having a good day? it's my day off, it's stormy and rainy.

electricEgyptian Posted Jan 11, 2007
Today has been excellent so far, thanks. It's wild and blustery out there, but I'm content.

Btw, have you read our h2g2 <./>thepost</.> yet? The latest issue was published today. We used to have weekly, but the volunteers were unable to keep that up, so now it's every two weeks.

Thanks for that.
I'm up to my eyes in graphics these days. You might find the following link to photography useful:

There is an ongoing photography class at:

Some of the posters are professional photographers.

Thanks for that. I've scrolled through it, it sou nds as if they're talking 'real' cameras, with films in them.

The photographers use all sorts of equipment. Mostly people are trying to improve their digital skills, so there is even reference to livening up photos with Photoshop. It's all quite interesting.

May as well bring this conversation up to date.
A newly painted kitchen is my latest news.
I no longer feel like a total Newbie here.

aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Jan 30, 2007
That's great! Did you paint the kitchen yourself? And what colour did you choose?
I've taken on one of the editor's t-shirt challenges, now thinking about yet another one.
ACE's Hi
electricEgyptian Posted Jan 31, 2007
Yes, I got all the brushes and rollers out and set to with energy.
The area around the cooker is now pristine white, the main body of the room a soft blush (barely tinted) and the chimney breast a mid green called Forest Green.
Thanks for your interest, Bel. I have set myself a project to photograph some of the results, but shall have to wait until Friday.
I would be interested to know more about your t-shirt challenge.
Key: Complain about this post
