We've been waiting a long time for a place in a nursing home. It seems a lot of stuff has gone wrong or has been stalled in the municipal of my mother. smiley - erm

But right now she is restless and walks about outside without enough clothes. After the three weeks in recreation my oldest daughter, my brother and I will take turns in living in with her.

Guessing is always good, Ivan. smiley - winkeye

Maybe we should initiate a fund for hootooers to travel across the world.smiley - smiley

We'd really like to wellcome you here in the Northern Hemisfhere (sp?), Ivan - and tanzer, too.

Only one nude girl, Pierce - her name's Chloe, she's French, and she's been hanging around in a pub for a hundred years now.

After a few smiley - ale you might find your aesthetic judgement somewhat impaired... You might just end up chatting up the oldest living creatures.

kea ~ Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small, unregarded but very well read blue and white website

The visit sounds so civilised I'm tempted to jump across the ditch next time smiley - winkeye

[Kea - I reminded Tanzen that she'd promised to return to hootoo one of these days. She didn't rule this out. Here's hoping.]
<<

Oh, good. I hope she won't be disappointed in the place though. Maybe we should spruce it up a bit smiley - erm

btw Ivan, did you know Moose?

Actually, smiley - pirate, it seems the municipality wants to sell the place. The politicians hesitate to invest more money in the place.

Today the tvs had black screens as nobody has thought of buying digital boxes for the sets. It's only been advertised every day for the last six months ....<headshakesmiley). But then there is a problem of who is going to pay for the boxes...smiley - sigh

Chloe is lovely, isn't she? And even lovelier on a photo with Ivan's, tanzer's and my face just below the frame. smiley - laugh

Finding a good nursing home/residential care facility can be pure hell. We were lucky to find one for my grandmother a few years ago; it was run by the local Italian community. Mum thought that if any community would take good care of their old people, it would be the Italians. (We couldn't put the old girl in the Baltic community home as it was full of people she'd insulted, antagonised or otherwise failed to be friends with over the years...)

Kea, do cross the ditch one of these days. smiley - biggrin We'd love to see you. As for Moose - we only knew each other very briefly; I think I'm now living in the same part of town, but I've no way of knowing where Moose is now.

smiley - laughOh, does it now?

We did have a lot of fun filling in the forms for the nursing home. We gave up when it came to grandchildren; explaining how who is related to her was just too much. We wrote "lots" and left it at that. smiley - silly

smiley - biggrin there are 4 or 5 divorces on my side of the family and 2 on the side of my ex'es. plus 2 adoptions. my ex-mum-in-law has given up remembering who belongs to whom smiley - biggrin

friend of mine has it easier: after living with one woman for almost 20 years he returned to his first love - her sister...

I haven't gotten the photos out of the card yet, Pierce. Too much to catch up at the radio station.

But eventually I'll make it.

Good point about the Italians, Ivan.

My mother's municipal is trying to push us to accept a flat in a nursing home in Horsens, but we want her to live in Århus as it is closer to us and several of her family members.

The consultant of dementia has failed to send the right papers to Århus before she retired in spring, so here we are with hardly any options.

My brother is close to alerting the press; good timing when the local elections are only 12 days ahead. smiley - evilgrin

Tomorrow, when I've finished a 45 min. magazine for the radio, I'll write a smiley - grr mail....

I'll hand you back to the mini meet smiley - biggrin - and add to the report when I've had time to think back.

Contacting the press does sound like rather a good idea. Good luck... smiley - cheerup
