Cor, this is just like having pen-friends! You tend to assume that on a UK site most people would be British, it's so cool to chat to people from different countries.

True story, since I cook alot of curries (& am interested in that type of thing) I had done a Google search for "curry & curry preparations" - I believe it was - , & "best curry houses in The U.K." was one of the many results. Of course it was just one small corner of hootoo, & I was hooked in no time.

But yes, it is rather like pen friends. I've 'spoken' to people in various parts of the world through the site & really enjoy the relative similarities that are always coming up, I look at maps/the globe much more in relation to people, than just places, now...& it's certainly made me more cognizant of time zones.

In fact, now that you're on my friends list, you'll 'meet' people like; abbi (who's in Colorado - U.S.A.), Izzybelle (who's in Sweden), pheloxi (in The Netherlands), Hati (in Estonia), Hapi (living just outside Moscow, Russia), etc.

I will look them up over the next few days.
