Oh, Prof, you are so funny THE is coming off and on, and 'someone' is digging my lawn up all over the place just as I thought I had got it settled for the winter. Oh, well it saves scarifying the lawn It is covered with leaves at the moment so I am trying to ignore it. If I get some dry weather I might tidy it up a bit.

Got a lovely view of the Super Moon this evening, shame my camera is not up to the job as it would have made a lovely picture.

my gripe is: hearing someone talk about being skint and seeing them with a mobile phone using the internet etc and a cig in the other hand

Ooh, don't get me started! I know some with house, 2 cars, two jobs, 2 kids, numerous holidays and they are still 'skint'! One day I feel, it will catch up with them and in the not too distant future!

Badgers, squirrels, cats, foxes, magpies pigeons and jays creating havoc in my 'garden'. Trying not to look at it for the moment, but the birds are coming in droves. Dishes frozen to the ground, water rock hard all day!

Now How about "the lion and the lamb " ?

Have seen a fairly recent account of a lioness and an antelope fawn, with the lioness exercising a maternal regard for the fawn.

Inter-species relationships like that are really not extremely unusual.

...and a badger, cornered, can be a pretty formidable scrapper if it wants and needs to be.

Badger has the most amazing jaws and a real turn of speed if necessary. Devastated by the number of badgers killed this year in the UK for no good reason. They haven't even had the decency to publish how many had Btb. I wonder why?.............
