h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi, just thought I'd drop a little message to a fellow X Files fan.

I'm also new to the site and looking to spread the good word and enter a few conversations, etc.

I've got first five seasons X-Files in video box set (despite some sneaky burglar taking the first two seasons in a break-in. At least he had taste, mind.)
I'm going to endeavour to finish my collection over the years.
Gillian Anderson gets me going as well, she is absolutely delighful.

Favourite episodes: "three-parter" where Scully is abducted, the one with the in-bred southern family (killing of copper's wife is superbly tense and surprisingly violent) and comedy episode in season five with "Frankenstein impregnator" who works to the tunes of Cher. The black and white footage of Mulder and Scully dancing to "Walking in Memphis" is one of the most romantic things I've ever seen. (You're correct, I DON'T get out a lot!?)

Hiya, thanks for dropping me a line, it's great to here from other X-Philes, it makes me feel better! Nasty burglar taking your boxsets, but your right, he did have taste! My box set situation is a bit poor really. I've got 2,3 and 6 on official videos, then I have 8 and 9 reccorded off the telly, but the first season 8 tape is dying- it's gone VERY fuzzy in some bits, and the lips don't match the sound in Within/Without (tho I don't know if that's the video or how it was broadcast, I'd given TXF up for Lent when the Beeb FINALLY decided to show 8! NOOOOOOO! :OP ) Oh, I have files 5 through 12, Biogenesis and Millennium of the mythology videos.

I won't try and tell you my favourite episode at the minute, that's a MAJOR discussion for another day, so long is the "short"-list!
