Scientific entries managed badly

I don't quite understand why it seems that the people who complain about how entries are inaccurate or out-of-date never seem to show up in the Update Forum. There are plenty of entries that need updating, we just need more researchers to take on the job.
Scientific entries managed badly

I can hope that the reason you don't recognise it as typical is because you have improved a lot in the months while I have had to be a less active participant due to that inconvenient thing called life.
If this is indeed the case, then well done.
but the impression that this (and other) thread(s) gives is that some of the same old behaviours are still happenning, and that there is further need for improvement.
Do bear in mind that my experience here dates back a long way, into pre-rupert times, and I saw the total mess that occurred as a consequence of the bbc lawyers bad advice shackling editorial policy, with the editors trying to defend the indefensible, and not doing a very good job of moving to a more formal way of doing things.
you are much better than you used to be, and lets hope you will continue to improve.
We still get threads cropping up every so often (some as recently as this month) with complaints or suggestions for improvements, and the response to the complaints will often be to focus on some minor point, apparently ignoring the main issue.
on suggestions, they are often apparently dissmissed out of hand by non-technical italics because "they might require heavy programmer resources", without bothering to check with the tech's if they know what they are talking about.
keep up the good work.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
