This is the last email I sent. It gives some clues as to what I was dealing with here. I am very happy with the letter. I hate it that that the end came through email rather than in person, but I'm a wuss in that way. We haven't talked to each other for a month+ anyway.

Hi all. Yes, I REALLY need to spend more time on Hootoo and less time in RL.
Today I was walking the dog past this house. He pooped. I picked it up and start to walk away. This guy from the house follows me and tells me not to let my dog poop on his lawn. I say I'll try not to. He says that's not good enough, and starts following me to my house so he can know where I live when he reports me to the cops. He continues to harass me as I walk. I stop walking and call the cops myself on my cell to report that I'm being harassed by this guy who is following me home. We wait for the cops. One arrives and I tell him what is happening. The cop goes and talks to the guy. The cop comes back to me and gives me a lecture on not letting my dog poop on that guy's lawn and lets me go. I continue to walk home while the cop (and another one has arrived) goes back to talk to the guy. Fu.. This is what its like here. We had several more neighbors watching the entertainment but they couldn't hear I guess. One of the symphathised with me when I told her what had happened. I think maybe half the neighbors would think he was being unreasonable. The rest would have been on his side.
This is not the first dog related neighbor problem I've had. Shel 
got out while I was getting the newspaper a week and a half ago. He started barking at a neighbor who was walking his dog past our house. So I'm trying to collect my dog and get him back in and this 80 year old guy with his dog is yelling at me and calling me a dumb f**k which is just making Shel more excited and difficult to corrall.
I know I have a crappy additude here which isn't helping. I'm trying not to hate it and failing.
