Sorry I've been inattentive.
Posted Jan 3, 2005
Sorry I haven't been on much and haven't been able to keep up with anything at all here.
A couple of things have happened. For one, I set up a Christmas tree in my living room. I don't actually use my living room much. I usually surf visit hootoo from my laptop in the bedroom which is off the kitchen. I go into the living room to feed and entertain the guinea pig and that's about all. So I have thie tree set up in the living room room where I don't spend much time and I'm not going to just sit in the LR looking at the tree so I set up the TV. I also had decided that I have my apartment cleaned up enough that I could allow myself to watch TV again. Thus I became re-addicted to stupid television and haven't spent as much time on the internet or hootoo.
I also got sort of depressed over the holidays not so much cause of holidays but cause all my friends leave town and I'm left with the extra dogs. I was completely unmovitated to do anything for a couple of weeks. I couldn't bring myself to send xmas cards or do all the other xmas things I'd plannned to do. I spent most of the time watching stupid tv till it was all butt-cruncher infomercials and sleeping till noon. I also started on "the Pill" and I think it affecting my mood and had had some other weird side effects. (hope that's not TMI).
I am feeling better now. I am moving in about 3 weeks and I have to pack and clean and plan. In the end I decided to drive out to Cal. I rented and Explorer and I have a couple of friends who are going to drive out with me. I have buttloads of stuff to do and I probably won't have much time to be on for a few weeks. AFTER which I will be in beautiful Cal with high speed internet so I hope to be back with a "vengance".
It is 2AM. The X-Files rerun is over and the Youthfull Essence infomercial is starting. I have to go to bed. I'll be around but not as much for a while.

TEQUILA CHRISTMAS CAKE
1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
Lemon juice
4 large eggs
Nuts
1 bottle tequila
2 cups of dried fruit
Sample the tequila to check quality.
Take a large bowl, check the tequila again.
To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.
Repeat.
Turn on the electric mixer.
Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again.
At this point it's best to make sure the tequila is still OK.
Try another cup... just in case.
Turn off the mixerer thingy.
Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
Pick the frigging fruit up off floor.
Mix on the turner.
If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a
drewscriver.
Sample the tequila to check for tonsisticity.
Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something.
Check the tequila.
Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
No wait..shtrain the lemon juice and shift your nuts.
Add one table.
Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don't forget to beat off the turner.
Finally, throw the bowl through the window.
Finish the tequila and wipe counter with the cat.

Hellbound's One Year Hootooversary.
Posted Nov 10, 2004
Hi everybody! I almost forgot, today is my one year Hootooversary! I found this site when there was a link to it on the used computer I had purchased just a few days earlier. The link was in a folder of links to supposed software developers for Macs. I think it must have linked to The Orchard. I think I made my first post there after I set up may account and accidentally ACEd myself.
Hootoo is IMO the best open community site on the internet. Even with squabbles and tiffs, our researchers are the the best behaved I think you will ever encounter online. And - no advertising - Americans on my journal should really appreciate this. I could sell space on my cat to advertisers if he was willing to walk around the neighborhood.
---------------------------------
Today was unnaturally warm. I went out all prepared for cold and had to cart my coat around all day. I spent most of the day doing errands that took longer than I thought they would and missing busses. I never did completely wake up inspite of several cups of and . I'm still groggy at 2100h. But after all the I probably won't sleep either.
I really need to do stuff this week too. There is a fire inspection for my building in a week and my apartment is solid firehazard from wall to wall. It is a mess and I am usually too overwhelmed by it to do anything with it. So I turn on my computer to avoid it. Or I do an hour or so of work on it and reward myself with 4 hours of internet. The landlord gave me the option of postponing the inspection but if she did that I'd just put off doing what I have to do here so I said to go ahead so I am forced to do it. I have to do it anyway before the trip I'm taking in 2 weeks (ack) not to mention having to pack and move in early 2005. (ack, ack)
As it happens I often have a couple of days of unusual productivity that comes with PMS/PMT. Hopefully I'll be able to take full advantage of it. Right now though I'm just and and I still have to walk the dog.
This is the third time I've tried to post it. I don't know where it went the previous two times. I did not get an error message. in advance if I am repeating myself somewhere.
