The last time I was Minneapolis (yeah I know its not St Paul just across the river) was January 2000 during the Viking/Cowboy game. I was there to install some automated machinery into the big downtown postal facility (actually six machines.) It was -10 degrees with a foot of snow on the ground my installation team had fun, I love the snow. I'm from Salem Oregon though and it only snows there once or twice a year and never over a foot unless you count the moutains.
Its nice to meet you come over to my page and look around, I haven't yet mastered the guideml yet so it is much more plain than yours.

I live in St Paul but I spend a lot of my time in Minneepolis. I've never been to a Vikings game but I've been to quite a few Twins games and other events in the Metrodome. I'm generally a fairweather fan of local teams.
Do you work for the post office or a company that was contracted by them?
I read your PS. Sports are all about gravity on earth, aren't they. Never thought of that. I didn't see much of the Olympics this year but I really liked the coverage I did see. I thought Athens did an outstanding job.

I did visit the Mall OF America and I fully appreciated the fact that it is the biggest in America.(I've been to many malls that are huge but that is a whole degree bigger.)
At that time I was contracting for a contractor. I work temporary jobs and that one lasted nearly a year. I is amazing the speed those machines have when sorting our mail up to 50,000 pieces per hour!
Now I am living in Salem and between jobs (just because its been a couple of years doesn't mean I'm not between them.) Are you familiar with Crystal Evangelical Free Church in Minneapolis? They have a program called Theophostic ministry that I am doing here in Salem. I am the only one here in the state that does it. It is for healing wounded souls, works real well (it worked for me anyway).
Yes Athens did a remarkable job, one for the record books. The debate I heard was about the original games. These modern games are in a sense like them and then not like them. The ancient games only awarded first place and berated and humbled the non-winners. They were only for the citizens no women, no slaves, and no holds barred. Like the modern Olympics though they had a lot of cheating, bribing the judges and few penalties.
adieu

I don't go to MOA(Mall of America) very often as I'm usually broke. but I do like to go there sometimes. We just got an Ikea out there too. I've been completely broke since it opened though and haven't been to it. I'll make it out there soon I hope.
I hadn't heard of the Crystal Evengelical Free Church or their Theophostic ministry before but looked them up. I have a vague idea of where Crystal is and I know there are a few EFCs here. I'm glad it was helpful to you, and that they have programs which help people address those issues.
Athens was great. I'm going to email NBC and tell them I approved of their coverage this time(not always the case). I heard complaints from Greek Americans that US coverage was too negative about preolympic delays and problems. I didn't think the coverage was unreasonable at all. For the resto of us it was worrysome the problems that seemed to be coming up in the run up to the Games. I didn't think the doping scandals detracted as much as some of the commentators thought it did. Just business as usual, I thought.

Well the time I was there was a high time for me. I was well paid and had a car to get around with and living in a hotel (The Travelodge across from the Metrodome). Now I am like you and must keep my money as long as possible.
I know that the H2G2 is full of people who do not regularly go to any church but I wondered if you knew of them anyway.
It is ironic that there was no real terrorist action in Athens. I know that they have their own local terrorist not connected to Al Queda that have blown up buildings and cars over the years and even they kept quiet. Just that religious wacko during the marathon who didn't do any actual damage.
They got off lucky I guess

I think that Travelodge is gone now. I don't remember it from before either but that doesn't mean it wasn't there. Now there's a brand spankin new light rail station across from the Metrodome.
And no, I'm not a church goer. I have heard of various Twin Cities churches and even been in some for weddings, funerals, concerts, book signings and stuff. I don't make it out to Crystal very often though. Are you participating in the Theophostic Ministry or are you offering to lead it for others?
That marathon thing was certainly a drag for the runner who was attacked. But yeah, I'm so glad nothing else happened.

Yeah Theophostic is my new career move. It is for those people who have been emotionally wounded who want to recover and it does remarkably well. Primarily it is for Christians but I have heard it being used for others and as long as the person is at least open to the experience the results speak for themselves.
The title of the course book is "Beyond Tolerable Recovery" and since I am one of the people who have experienced it for myself I have to agree that is true. I highly recommend it if you have been emotionally wounded like had been.
Anyway, the Travelodge was kind of down the street and across another. From my room I could easily see the Metrodome with all of its features(when I bothered to open the drapes.) My team mates were all from Dalles Texas and they enjoyed the Cowboys beating the Vilings that year. Lately they haven't had much to cheer about.
I dont work at that job anymore it ended that was just a different period in my life when I was making more money than now.
Been checking up on the hurricane down in Florida, amazing that two hurricanes in such a short period I would move out of there for good and not look back. No place is so good that I would stay with that kind of problem!
Key: Complain about this post
