well actually i have had ICQ for over a year now and never had any trouble with wierd phsycotic people....the most trouble i have ever had are the ones that want cyber sex and i just tell them to bugg off which normally sends them scurrying off somewhere else....also, if someone ever shows up that i don't want to chat with i put them on my ignore list and that is that......i can also leave my status on invisible if i want and then noone can tell i am online unless i have authorized an override for them so that they can see me.....

yes, i do, but, i also know that i have the power of the mouse that keeps it from disturbing me.....all i have to do is make a click and they cannot send me anything else.....besides if i lived my life in fear that someone might say something to me that i did not like i would never leave my house, there are strange people everywhere you go you just have to learn how to ignore or avoid them and continue to live your life...if you let them keep you from living then you have allowed them to control you....

Hmm. Good point. It's just that I'd prefer to avoid that sort of thing altogether. That and the fact that I have a Mac. I don't actually know if they make ICQ for the Mac OS. It's actually a sort of pathetic computer, sort of the Mac equivalent of a 486. But I've gotten off topic. That happens a lot. Getting back on topic, do you, perhaps, know if there's a Mac ICQ?

it is next to impossible to completely avoid the occasional oddball but there is as i stated the ability to keep them in line and out of your way, it is kind of like tv and the radio if you don't like it change the channel that is what putting them on ignore is like
as for a Mac version this is a link i found for the Mac version it is from what i can tell slightly different but should work just fine ..it should take you directly to the download.....if you do happen to install it you can find my icq number on my homepage, feel free to add me to your list

I will be very upset if you feel a sudden urge to put me on your *ignore* list,however (j/k)!I trust that you will find the time to drop in the MadMunk Enclave,or one of my equally ground-breaking forums...please do not expect anything too highbrow...I tend to save that for icq.....or NM(Fairly Strange)
