Have just spent the evening writing an article about Kubla Khan. It's the first time I've had to submit anything via the peer review system. It looks odd, but I've worked out that the sub-eds will be directed to decent entries regardless of the peer opinion. It all looks like a reasonable system to me.
Whilst doing my GuideML editing, I noticed that all of my other entries are dated 1999 which makes it look like it's been nearly a year since I submitted an entry. This isn't entirely true as I've done various edits to them before I've submitted. "Autumn", for example was last tinkered with a week ago - after a (valid) sub-ed rejection - but it shows 99 as the creation date. Just looks a bit odd when I've had accepted entries or contributions all through the last 11 months.
Anyway, here's hoping for the new entry...

Dear diary...
Well, not quite, but it's getting so that h2g2 has become my unofficial diary (what the journal was created for I suppose).
This week I have been mostly moving house. Lots of shifting furniture, boxes, bags and then a heap of painting to boot. I have managed to strain my back quite badly, but that's no great price to pay for such a smooth move (relatively). Just waiting for the cooker and my main bed to complete the bulk moves/purchases.
Received my h2g2 t-shirt this week and I can happily report that it is smart. Nice black number with a vaguely crytpic logo. Cool.
Got another contributors credit today for urban green spaces, whicj is nice. Building up the tally as we go along.

Approved Entry Shocker

Well, there's a surprise. I got Pub Quiz Tactics approved when I thought it had been rejected. Makes a pleasing surprise.
Have spent the day packing up my bedsit in preparation for moving into the new house tomorrow. Looking forward to it intensely.
Funny thing happened the other day. An old frind got online for the first time and searched for me (trying to find my webpages). He couldn't find my site, but had hits galore courtesy of h2g2. Must put a link onto my pages if h2g2 is getting decent search engine matches...

New House

Well, got a new office two days agao and now today I have heard that my house purchase has gone through. I am now one of the homeowning classes (though I suppose the building society really owns 90% of it).
Moving into the house in a week, so I'll be doing lots of packing and shopping for goodies over the next 7 days. Nice.
Funny how things can turn out well in the end, isn't it?
