h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well, got a new office two days agao and now today I have heard that my house purchase has gone through. I am now one of the homeowning classes (though I suppose the building society really owns 90% of it).
Moving into the house in a week, so I'll be doing lots of packing and shopping for goodies over the next 7 days. Nice.
Funny how things can turn out well in the end, isn't it?

we got our house about 3 months ago, didn't realise how much it took to do it, checking to see how much we could borrow, finding a house, I made a lot of calls for one house I didn't like that much but my girlfriend did, we eventually offered the price they wanted and they took it off the market, trying to find the money, the people wantimg more, the problems the solictor found etc, but now were quite happy, it seems we've been here years.

Nice positive end. I'm hoping I'll be able to say the same in a few months time.
It's funny how conveyancing time comes in waves - nothing happens for ages, then the process lurches forward by 17 steps and you get a flurry of letters and phone calls in 3 days!
Still, now comes the fun part - deciding how to decorate and fill the house with my own personality. Plus, I've got to learn DIY in double-quick time.

I changed the lock on the frount door, hung a few pictures, and a couple of other things also did a bit on the garden, but the decorating I'm leaving until I save up a bit of money, it took a lot more than I thought,

my sister and he boyfriend bought theirs in december and they've been decorating, so theirs is looking nice.
