I should prune my intro. Severely.
I wonder which bits I should take out?
I had plans for that smiley zoo, too. And now there are new smileys! 
Most of which I can't see because I'm in goo and they're broken for goo!
A job for another night, anyway; I need sleep and my wrist is sore from too much typing.
Yes I said typing. No that's not a metaphor.

Ah! You all thought I'd forgotten, hadn't you?
Well I didn't. I've been thinking of lots of my hootoo friends over the last four years (grief! Four years?!), and I've missed you all a lot.
I have an internet connection at home now (woo). Which means I don't have to perpetually wonder how much trouble I'd get in for sneaking a posting or two at work...
... looking back, I'm glad I didn't. Not because I didn't want to say hi, because I did, but because this place is SOO addictive. I probably would have been fired within a week for not doing any work.
Right! Update time. First of all, I'm absolutely gutted to come back and find out that Pheloxi's funeral is today. I'm pretty sure Pheloxi's was one of the first names I read when I first joined h2g2, three accounts and nine years ago. 
Personal stuff: I'm still with Maree. She's still awesome. We have kids: two boys under two. Their names are Connor and Hunter. Connor's about to be in his first movie (when our friend the producer gets a chance to have a holiday and visit)... "Connor the barbarian". There will likely be a sequel of some kind, probably something about a dragon hunter. I'll let you know if/when they appear on the interweb.
We own a house. I have a new job. Maree finished her degree. She has a new job. We moved house one weekend and started both our new jobs that Monday... /that/ was a fun week. I still haven't finished my degree. Maybe next year.
Whoa! People have turned up. I should say hello. Then I'll go say hi to Arisztid's gap, and continue the rounds from there.s to everyone!

PS Maree read this page the other day, and made me laugh by pointing out that I'd spelt 'Waikato' wrong - and I hadn't noticed in the entire last four years or so.

Random boring update.

Hi all. It's very quiet around here.... wonder why?
I've managed to miss the latest rounds of weirdness hitting the city over the last week.... hooray!
Lots of people breaking up with partners, arguments with good friends, bad randomness which ends in things being thrown, etc.
No idea why these things seem to happen in waves, I'm just glad I've missed it.
Been creatively frustrated, mainly because I'm having a little difficulty finding a job and therefore can't afford to buy resources for the stuff I want to make. Blah.
Apart from that, though, all is good. Had a small wave of depression again, but it only lasted a couple of days and was only really annoying enough to mention because of the fact that I had no reason to be depressed in the first place.
Better go, this was only going to be a quick update. Wish I had MSN or skype, but I don't. Pants.

Today's journal was going to be brought to you by the letter 'R', and be a happy mention of my new (unofficial as yet) girlf.
Due to the London attacks (
and astral s), I'm guessing the hootoo servers are still a little undermanned. Plus I find myself using a dial-up connection at the moment. So this will be brief.
Girlf, M, is short, cute, sweet, pure, innocent, naieve(sp?), pink, fluffy, cuddly, shy, and, surprisingly, a nefarious evildoing nymphomaniac demon. 
That's all you get to find out for now.
