Well done. Got to Euston Station and found the train before mine was still there delayed, so hopped aboard and got home 20 mins early. Dog out, nibbled toast, sleep, got up again at 16;00. Live in a first floor masionette, with an elderly couple below. He seems to think why shut a door quietly when you can slam it, and he can be a bit of a pain when you're trying to sleep. Anyway, last one of three, then off until Monday, with three lates 10;30-21;30 next week. Then a few days leave to use it up before 31st Dec and loose it.

smiley - wow nice bonus getting home early smiley - smiley It only takes me about 20 mins to drive home depending on the traffic of course! I used to live in London years ago so know what London Transport is like smiley - sadface

I live in a bungalow in the middle of nowhere on the edge of a forestry with a stream running past the side of the house. No problems with noisy neighbours and by the time I get home the kids have been taken to school by my ex mother-in-law! Peace and quiet reigns smiley - laugh

Have one more night after tonight then off fri, sat, sun smiley - smiley

Used to drive, until the congestion charge came in. Take 40 minutes by car and 90 by public transport. Go figure. smiley - blue
Jealous of your solitary domicle. smiley - grr
Off Thurs Fri Sat & Sun, but you cannot count Thurs really, as you loose most of it asleep. Ruins social life, or makes it difficult anyway.
Not much work tonight, I'd sooner be busy, it makes the night go faster, and there's nothing on TV. caught Paverotti just now.

Budding mastermind??? smiley - winkeyesmiley - laugh Used to enjoy a quiz night myself but working nights it's hard to go on a regular basis!
You should enter your team into that new TV programme 'Eggheads' see if you can beat the experts!

Did you say you work for BBC World Service? I used to know someone who worked for them!

Well put it this way, I turn up smiley - laugh
Yup much to my shame smiley - blush I am employed by the BBC World Service.
smiley - sorry
It's difficult to keep up with the quiz team when I'm working. But I do try.
I've heard of this Eggheads programme and its had bad reviews. I've never seen it, what is it like?

I've only seen it a couple of times but basically there's a team of 'experts' and they're challenged by a team from a pub etc! Prize money is £1000 but it's rolled over if the challengers dont win. The 'expert' team is made up of people who've won mastermind, 15 to 1, and that woman who won Millionaire (Judith Keppel). It's OK I guess but some of the questions are pretty easy - not what I'd call a challenge!!!

Why are you ashamed of working for BBC World Service?? It's not that bad is it?

smiley - sorry Computer logged me out and wouldn't let me back in again, just got back.
No not really ashamed to be working here, could be worse, could be ITV. No.No. No. Only joking.
smiley - clownsmiley - jester
Anyway. No I must be honest rather like the job despite strange hours.

Couldn't imagine doing any thing else now, really. Been with them for 30 odd years. Joined in 1972.

If you've been with them that long then you probably know the person I used to know who worked there (might still be there for all I know) Think she was a producer!!
