right, how do u get a counter? i want to know about all three of the people who have actually seen my page!

It was ages ago that I set mine up, as you can see by the numbers, but I've had a quick search around and found this page

It has a list of lots of different counters. I use the fifth one down.

Hope that helps. They are usually really helpful in setting them up.

Fairy counters are not pointless.

How would you know how many fairies you were up against? Would you need your pink fairy squishing boots - or those trousers that fishermen wear?

How about a really big stick with a star on the end.

i went to the counter page and got scared.....i didnt know how to get it onto my webpage and it took ages to download and i got bored....
so i gave up......

They usually give reasonable instructions. And you have to know how to put a picture onto your page.

aaaaaaaa.......theres the fatal flaw in the plan......
i have no idea how do do that.......how do u? theres a nice pic of a pink mermaid or some powerpuff girls pics i could put on if i knew.....anmd how do u get more thatn one page.........some people have links to otyher pages which are just an extension of the original

Have you had a look through the GuideML forums. They are often quite helpful. If not HTML works so you could have a look for a beginners HTML web tutorial somewhere.

ive found out how to do pics but i still have no idea about the counter..........

What usually happens is you link to a picture that is generated by the site you got the counter from. Each time you have to load the picture it adds one to the counter and send the picture to the page. The instructions for linking to the correct picture are on the site you get it from. They usually give you the right code, you just have to copy into your own page.

It does take a while to get used to doing this sort of thing, But you do get the hang of it eventually.
