*looks towards Amy Ace sensing she is perplexed by the old people topic of conversation*
Who knows? Do you have anything else on your mind that you may like to share?
*he wonders*

Hi, Elly!
Hope you're back in rude health!

I truly feel sorry for you. That must be very difficult. I am lucky that I don't have to deal with that crowd. The people I deal with are all young like myself and always interesting.

Erm... because you haven't...?
It's very rare for me to be online at this time; I think I usually clash with your evening meal!

Labour party landslide forecast, btw, so looks like Tony and his cronies are back in...
The result for my constituency is one of the most eagerly awaited - our Liberal MP has a majority of only 12 over the Conservatives.

That's very kind of you, but frankly trying to decide between our political parties at the moment is a pretty thankless task. I don't really have any particular allegance myself... I just follow my instincts on the day, I'm afraid.

Who's winning your elections? Over where I am, never heard anything of that sort was going on.

parrferris Posted Jun 7, 2001
It looks pretty much as though Labour (who have governed since 1997) are going to win again, but only three constituencies have declared a result so far (all safe Labour seats anyway). I'm not surprised you haven't heard about it, there is terrible apathy amongst the British public with only about 60% turnout it seems.

I'm not British. I'm from a far far away place known as CANADA. We barely hear about our own politics. If we did, those who we elected would never get re-elected because people would not put up with the same kaniving and back-stabbing for two terms.

We know how bad our politicians are, but we still seem to vote for them. The trouble is that we know that each party is as bad as the others.
To my shame, I couldn't name a single current Canadian politician.

most peopleonly know our Prime minister, Jean Chretien. most people don't vote for politicians but rather parties like the liberals or conservatives. many never know who their members of parliament are. They only know which party they voted for,
