I'm thinking that the 'new' h2g2 has passed an anniversary, standing up and aside from the BBC. I'd not call it thriving, but it does live.

I agree, it's not thriving, but it does indeed live.
A tenner was it? Is there an animal charity in Canada? I am thinking more of ecology and habitats than pets - the World Wide Fund for Nature perhaps. Or one that looks after the forests, since I assume there still isn't a smiley.
