Hides.
Sorry about last night.. I feel sort of bad about going in the middle of a conversation with you, but I was busy with er, stuff.
Texted when I got in but gathered you must be asleep, which was annoying (for me).. cos I wanted to talk to you again!
Still see you tonight..

Hey - don't worry about it. I don't assume you are sitting around on the other end of the phone waiting to answer it for my amusement!
Had something to tell you...
Oh yes. We have to go to Wales on Sunday. C's car is f**ked and she can't come over to mine. I told her we'd arrive about 2.00. We can go straight up to yours after.
Hope that's ok. She's looking forward to seeing you again. (She wants to ask you about mutants )

Oh so all that time sitting around waiting to amuse you on the phone is needed after all
That's fine, about Sunday I mean.
Mutants got me into trouble recently! There was an article in the paper about albino animals, and someone said 'aren't genitic mutations amazing' so obviously I replied 'yes it's just like outpatients clinic isn't it?'
Managed to get really into an aspect of my presentation last night (literally one sentance) and forgot about actually writting the damn thing, so then it was 6 am when I went to bed.
I skipped clinic this morning, there's plenty of time when I'm an pre-school doctor to work without sleep, but I'm going to into show the presentation to my tutor, and tell him I think what he's doing is morally wrong.

You know you're an h2g2 addict when you want to include links in phone calls.
How to Give a Bad Presentation - in the BMJ http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/cgi/content/full/321/7276/1570
Not sure if you can get on, I loose track of what's behind access controls.
And my favourite computer shop.

It looks as if my PC is fixable, and the taxi-meter so far has not been too expensive. Basically they are going to try booting it from the floppy and loading Windows ME - then they will upgrade to XP Pro, and Bob's your Mother's Brother.
Fingies crossed.
Still feeling fidgetty - but realised that it is only an emotion, and it is easier to just get on with things.
*off to read the bad presentation link now*

I'm sure another wouldn't do any harm with the feeling figity!
Have a good day. I'm full of good intentions, going to go swimming after Uni, then on to the medschool to do some revision.
Papatates.
Mind you I do know so much more about heart murmurs than I did a few years ago. Which is good!

Thanks for being so sweet yesterday and ringing to ask about my keys sorry if I was a bit short, I was in the middle of Trying to Get My Modem to Work. I have now worked out what went wrong with the connection and how to set it up again.
Hope my text didn't wake you.

And now I have a lot of forms of my own to fill in...
I rang the BMA to check how much I should fill in about the Occy Health Questionaire a nice Scottish Lady is going to ring me back later today.
And a police check form which shouldn't be a problem, I'll just have to dig out my birth certificate and change of name deed and the last time I looked I'd lost them..
Off to Uni to mooch about and wait for the exam now..

Just had a conversation with a very nice in occupational health who said 'ooh you poor thing, you've got really worked up and there's nothing to worry about, and if you can't do lifting for first few weeks that won't make any real difference, now more importantly are you up to date with your Hep B vacciations, and do you have a scar from your BCG vaccination'

She's pregnant so may well be on maternity leave when I start, but she's assured me that the other nurse is just as nice.
I am relieved though!..

I noticed that typo, but was too polite to mention it...
Actually, I couldn't turn it into a good pun, so I decided to ignore it.
I am genuinely glad it's ok. Will you need a letter from the former carbonated beverage?

Congratulations on filling in The Forms!
Well I actually said 'thanks for being so nice about this..' but it's the same thing..
If I'm opened up I may well have to get very good at flirting with nurses, because I won't be able to do any lifting for the first fews.
