I belive that so many americans are in fact lame. There are several factors to consider here. First of all, the amount of food consumed by americans, it has caused incredible obescity among americans, 1 in 4. Second is the colloquial connotations of 'lame'. It tends to mean useless or stupid of which the americans are both former and latter. The richest nation in the world and they invent complete wastes of time such as furbies and aircraft which cost $1bn each (I shall return to that). Asides from the aeroplane, there are very few life altering inventions to which the americans can put their name to. The steam and IC engine were both english as were the lightbulb and the first computer. The telephone was invented by Graham Bell in america but he was scottish (dont quite know how that happened). The s******t thing about the americans has to be the D.o.d and the armed forces in general. Lets start with the army. Testing of anthrax was carried out on sheep by the british M.o.d but the americans decided to use their own citizens. The US army spend $100 on a pickaxe. During the Kosovo conflict, the US army drafted in a load of Apaches. They began training and BEFORE entering the warzone 4 aircraft were lost! When NATO were allowed to enter, whilst the British, French, Italians and Germans were on the border ready to enter, the Americans were in Greece! This led to the Russians getting there first. The USAF are a bit s**t too. Firstly they developed the F-117 and B-2. These cost between $1-2bn dollars each and considering 3rd world debts are only $50bn this is a watse of money. Added to that, the british Rapier AA missile system can detect them.In desert storm, a british red cross truck was bombed by the americans. Why? Although the americans dropped the first nuke, the british created it and had the first nuclear power plant. Why do they insist on having huge f**k off places like Menwith Hill ruining the Yorkshire Dales? Why when britain is shown in an american tv program do they insist on playing the national anthem or rule britiannia? The americans did not win the space race, they won the 'race to put a human on the moon' The russians got the first object in space, man in space, first station, first woman, first non-russian/american, longest duration, first probe to the moon. There music is crap too. That cable car incident in Italy was lame too. In case you hadnt heard, a US marine aircraft was flying too low over Italy and severed a cable car cable kiling numerous people. Firstly what the hel were they doing pissing around in someone elses country, second why could they not see this cable. One theory is they were trying to fly under it for the hell of it. When the inquest was heard it was found that the pilot had destroyed evidence. I would also like to add that the Americans have screwed up so many conflicts. Firstly Vietnam. They go into someone elses country for no reason other than their phobia for other political views. They napalm the whole country and killl innocent people. One soldier killed a baby saying it could have been caryying a hand grenade. What a load of b******s. Next was Korea which they screwed up. Then the Cuban missile crisis in which their landing was a failure due to the Cuban army. What competition for the richest nation on earth. What right did they have anyway stopping the Russian ships going across international waters.
