You misunderstand--*I* am the daughter-in-law... (Now I know you haven't been to my space--I state clearly that I'm 27...) And I somehow don't think Tom would appreciate me writing it... (I've finally gotten him to join--with some help from my h2g2 friends--and I don't think he'd think it funny to see on my space, in with the other entries, 'How to Drive Your Son and Daughter-In-Law Nuts'... though I could do it humorously, now that I've had a chance to cool down... Maybe a different, not so obvious title? (Titles have never been my strong suit...)

Silly me! Of course I have been to your homespace and I certainly knew your age... I can only plead drunkeness or tiredness for suggesting you were anywhere remotely old enough to *have* this problem yourself. Mind you, my b/f Monsy, over in Alabama, married Fairly Strange and inherited a whole collection of stepchildren and grandchildren and she isn't much older than you!

Titles? I am quite good at those... it's the content I sometimes have trouble with!

I guess I could just write it and email it to you... I'm at work right now, though, so it will have to wait... (And I'm older than my husband, as well as this being the first-and-only marriage for each of us, so no steps... Though I have a step-sister only a few years younger than my mom would have been, were she still with us...)

If you are at all worried that Tom (may I call him that?) would be upset or annoyed at you writing it then please don't do it! Remember that Post items come back to haunt you on your homespace once they are added!
I'm sorry if you feel I am pressuring you... I'm not, honestly!
Just shout whenever you have a flash of inspiration and write something.

No, you're not pressuring me... I am! I want to get something in the anniversary edition... Maybe I'll dash off a drawing of my h2g2 self... I've already done 2 self portraits of my RL self... Maybe with a detailed account of how the pristine paper has been changed... Hmm... This might actually be a good idea... What do you think, shazz?

Writer's block is terrible, isn't it? I keep thinking of great stuff to write when I'm nowhere near a computer, but do you think I can think of anything while looking at Notepad?

Unfortunately it almost does the reverse with me. I feel tired, go to bed and then these wonderful thoughts and plans start running around in my head. I either try to ignore them or write them down. Mind you, I was quite pleased with my insomnia ditty which came out of one such late night/late morning last week

Anyway, 'tis 4 in the morning and once more... nah... I better try and get some sleep!
