Whilst lurking in the early hours I came across you mentioning the above on Seconds Out as being your favourite track (I think, I was a bit squiffy), and thought I'd pop by to say..

and, vaguely connected and much more obscure, 'Moira Anderson, eat your heart out'.

There. Job done, sorted.

Hi Matey,

I've not been round for ages and wow - how much have I missed the old place?

Good to see you're still around!

I think your Moira Anderson connection is just a little too vague for me to grasp - and I'm fully compus mentus (or is that compost mental - I never know the difference.)

I've no idea why I said it, but the 'Moira Anderson' thing is a quote from a Marillion live album.smiley - erm

I'm not actually here at the moment but seem to have found myself here anyway. h2g2's odd like that!smiley - biggrin

That was Fish waxing lyrical before the last verse of Market Square Heroes, after the band having done an impromptu version of Take The High Road....

How's that for a rusty old git?

I think I read that some while ago, but it was good to review it once again. Did I ever tell you I sang some of the lyrics to The Web into Fish's microphone as he held it? How cool is that.... when I say sang, it was probably more like a drunken shout and not in tune - but it still happened!

They were a great band up until Clutching at Straws - which for me said it all. I thought it was a watered-down version of Misplaced Childhood, which I liked the comercial feel of, but preferred Script and Fugazi.

I saw them on the Clutching tour and thought they were crap. The support band were truly abismal, can't even remember who they were - Jadis I think. A real let-down after the "GardenParty" at Milton Keynes, that I drove all the way down from the North of Scotland to see. That was a great gig - Jethro Tull, Magnum and Gary Moore all on the billing. Marillion were superb - at the height of their greatness....
