Platypus 2 Posted Jul 20, 2001
Hi Cafram,
I'm also an Aussie in Sydney so I'm here when other people are fast asleep (like the English cricket team this evening). Cheer up, mate and have a on me

Dunno if I'm supposed to reply to your journal or not, Cafram. I just wanted to say /I/ noticed you were gone, and I'll be glad when you're back! In the mean time, have heaps of fun

H2G2 researchers seem to inhabit just about
every time zone, so it *may* be difficult
to converse directly with the ones that are,
say, twelve time zones away--for me, that
means Eastern Australia. The most direct route
from Boston, where I am, to Tasmania/E. Australia
would be through the center of the earth.
(Okay, such a route would not be feasible, but
the miles would be fewer. )
But how about having a relay team? Has anybody
tried that yet?

Good Luck with the Bandwagon Caffram. I'll vote for you. No, I mean I won't vote for you.
Um, how does it work again??

Isn't the Bandwagon a cyberspace version
of the "Survivor" television series of last
summer? (Which I didn't watch, because
the idea of people being stranded somewhere
--even if just for a while--causes some
anxiety (Thank goodness I only have one
anxious personality )

If I understand Bandwagon right, we can watch
the participants and talk about them, but
they can't respond?
But we can't talk to them? What if they're
saying some awfully clever things?

That's about it...but really, what are the odds of them saying something awfully clever? On the off chance it *does* happen, you can respond in the surrounds or in there own journals, just reference the post you're talking about...and remember to vote off two non-Cafram people each week...
