what you should actually do, thats a free alternative for a tuner, is go to http://www.downloads.com and search for the "guitar chord finder"... really nice prog with a huge searchable chord database, plus pictures showing how to play the chord, itll actually play the chord out for you, plus alternate chord structures, plus it has a cheap-o tuner you can use. a must have prog for guitar geeks everywhere, and its freeware, so theres really no reason not to have it. i also tend not to like multi-fx pedals, especially, plastic cased pedals... they look cheap, and sound cheap too... but one main thing that attracted me to the korg pedal was the pitchshifter, cause a decent pitchshifter itself is worth $150, and i got the korg for $140... i think (keep in mind currency differences). but i also understand where youre comin from with buying the pedals one by one... one overlooked downside with a multi pedal is that you cant rearrange the way the sound is processed, like switching the route that the singal goes through from pedal to pedal, youre kinda stuck with however its designed. the first pick my dad gave me for my guitar was a really old pick from the 70's made of a hard, mica-like-stone... so, i didnt realize it for a while, but i scratched the finish a bit... tends to show when the grooves collect dust and dirt, but cleans up ok. im flying home tomorrow, so ill take soe pics of my axe and upload them to my site, send you a link, but it wont be til mid-week, cause im visiting a friend at school monday-tuesday. ttyl, chow
