*grins and hopes he has some idea what she's on about*
Did you go then? Have you been? Was it fun? What was there? Who was there?
*points out that she doesn't necessarily mean for him to name each and every patron of the NEC just any vaguely famous/sporting ones*
Did you see the Ducatis?
*waits patiently*

You mean the 's
Yay!! *starts ricocheting of of the walls* It was great fun
LOADS of bikes and LOADS of people looking, sitting on, and generaly poking at the Bikes...
Umm... usuals were there, Honda having the most impressive stand, apparently the same framework as their Car Show stand... But they had a car, and some boats there... Triumph, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Ducati, Harley, Aprilia, Cagiva, and loads of obscure types... KTM, Husquavara, umm..... etc...
Tried to go Friday, but Railtrack wasn't being nice
So went up Sat, in the car with me dad...
I'm going to get round to writing a report, and uploading the photos soon

*looks impressed*
So did you see the Yamaha TMax? That looked quite powerful for a scooter...500cc's would probably get it considerably quicker than my car
Ooooh and did you see the Benelli Tornado? That looked so cool but as there's only something like a hundered of them in the UK I don't think I'll get to see one so I'm relying on you having taken a photo of it...although perhaps if I'd told you this before you went it could have been a more successful plan
What about the Yamaha 1000cc Fazer? Was that as impressive as it looked too? And did you see the Silverwing? Oh and the NTT Y2K with the helicopter engine, did you see that too???
*grins*
And Top Gear showed the loads of people sitting on the bikes, tended to be women in bikinis I noticed...

Umm... I have a deep dislike of scooters.... so probably didn't notice the TMax..... I can't remember...
I saw the Benelli, not sure if I got a photo... I'll have to check...
AND the Fazer, the Silverwing, and the NTT Y2K
I was quite impressed by Triumphs bikes...
And I think they only got all the women in the PVC bikinis there for the press... by the time I got there, they must have all got bored and gone home
So...

Why do you have a dislike for scooters? They're cheaper and practical...oh crap I'm defending a sensible mode of transport, forget that I agree entirely...
*thinks*
Althought the ones in the F1 paddock are quite cool, especially the BAR ones
Of course you got a photo, I'll sulk if you didn't...although I am easily amused so a simple crayon drawing will suffice if not
Ooh did you see the Bonnaville? The 60's styling on that looked quite cool but then lots of the old bikes always look better. Have you ever been to the Motorcycle Museum in Devon? I have no idea where it is except that it's near the sea and on the north bit and there's a really good newsagents up the road from it. Anyway it's really good, they have many old bikes and aside from the annoying comments which all the blokes in there kept making it was quite interesting too...

I have a great respect for classics like the vespa... But all these new ones look really pants and are comparably with mobile phones for being annoying. They all remind me of Pizza bikes, which I loath... (in a sporting way ) and people that ride scooters have no respect for other road users, they always look misserable, and they never nod at you....
Yes.. I have photos... but most of them were taken between 5 and 6:30 when there weren't stupid people in the way of shots... I'm trying to sort them all out, and figure out, what is what
I haven't been to that museum.. but I noticed one right by the NEC....

So would you not appreciate a scooter driving, mobile phone using pizza delivery bloke then? Even if they were trying to give you a really nice pizza? With free Garlic Bread? And extra ham?
Ummm surely if they nodded at you they'd fall off their scooters?
I got my motorshow photos developed the other day...it was remarked upon that there were an interesting number of shots of the BMW Williams Oh and I managed to accidently get the McLaren advertisement in the back of one shot so I was able to laugh at the "Tension all the way to the finish, then sweet victory...congratulations Michael Schumacher" sign all over again
Yeah we went past that museum...kinda on the road that you don't want to be on as it goes straight into Birmingham but no matter how many times you go to the NEC you always end up on it anyway

Mmmm now there's an attractive thought, a drooling smiley
I'm very glad you clarified that as if you'd had a deep dislike for pizza or garlic, or garlic pizza, I might have become slightly concerned
I do understand though as there's a very scary pizza bloke in our village, for some reason we have a kebab house which sells pizza's despite the fact that the population is about 200 old women with cats. Anyway, my mate and I went in to get pizza and had the nerve to ask for extra garlic and this bloke just glared at us. Then he went quiet and wandered off and fetched another bloke who asked us to clarify our order before they all stood at the back of the shop muttering to each other. In the end there were about ten blokes all stood with huge kebab knives just looking at us as if they were about to leap over the counter and stab us both. It took us about an hour to get our pizza as they served every other person in the shop aside from us and we still have no idea why garlic insulted them so much...admittedly only one of them spoke English so they may have misheard us but we've always had pizza delivered after that
*follows the link, grudgingly ignoring the BT element*
Ooooh....shiny chrome It does look as nice as in the magazines then
Oh yeah and I never explained my amusement over this meet-up thingy. You may remember that I told you that I'd possibly be in London on the 24th well apparantly I was looking at October and Saturday the 24th is actually Saturday the 25th of November...but the amusing part is that one of the reasons I couldn't go was that I'd arranged to meet up with a mate from school in 'the pub we usually meet in'. Obviously I've never bothered to look at the name of the pub but then I read something that someone had posted about the meet-up saying that it was in a pub on the Strand. Using my vague memory of London I realised that the 'usual pub' was also on the Strand so maybe I could wander down afterwards and appear. I then re-read it and found that the pub was called the Wellington and upon further questioning it turns out that the pub I was going to so couldn't go to the meet-up, is actually the same pub that the meet-ups in anyway...I just have visions of everyone coming back and showing their photo's afterwards and seeing me sat happily in the background completely oblivious to the people in their h2g2 shirts
*grins*
Would've been amusing though
