It's funny though (well ok it isn't) but I think Chamakh would be better than Almunia in goal and Almunia would be better up front than Chamakh.

Ideal time but I fear we'll need it sooner than that. Plus, Chamakh will be away for the ACoN. As will Gervinho.

So we'll end up with Arshavin ambling slowly around the pitch again?
Terrific.
Although come to think of it even he would be better in goal than Almunia.

Morning all.
Well, it's a lousy day and I was stuck in traffic for ages...
....but after last night's football I won't stop smiling for a month.

Morning All
Its Culchie Day Jack so Dublin will be heaving with all the country folk
Although wish I was there as its howling a gale here

I reckon it was the culchies that had me stuck in traffic, PSD.
And the gale is howling here as well.
It's keeping me awake.
Anyway, time for a cuppa. And a couple of sausage rolls.
Also time to rip the p1ss out of all the united fans. And the lone City fan.

Morning Mac.
It certainly was.
Just had a lengthy and very enjoyable tea break which wasn't really spoiled by the absence of our single City fan. I'll catch himn later.
And when I do see him I'll be asking him a similar question to the one I asked the United fans:
Can United really do it on a wet and windy Thursday in Stoke?

Is the Citeh fan in hiding or is he definitely in today?
Man Utd or Man City vs Stoke. Brilliant. Although they will possibly have to go through the might of Vaslui before that.

I find it very amusing that they've both managed to fall into the tournament just before Shamrock Rovers finally leave it.
So, for a few days at least they're in a tournament with Rovers and Vaslui (whoever they are) while we're still in one with Barca, Real, Milan etc.
I think the Citeh fan saw the writing on the wall and made sure to arrange a site visit for today. but for the United fans this was totally unexpected so they didn't take any such precautions.

They're at the mercy of you mocking them, for pretty much the rest of the season.
Channel 5 must be loving it. Wonder what the attendances will be like at Old Trafford.

Somehow, I think they might not sell their entire stadiums out.
After all, this is European Football's second division we're talking about.
Both Manchester clubs relegated on the same day. Who would have thought?

It doesn't matter who they're drawn with. It's the equivalent of a match with Doncaster or Barnsley.
Anyway, it's time for lunch. I feel like buying a bottle of champagne to wash down my classic with.
After all, champagne is used for celebrations, right?
