It's all pretty nice up here on the Dublin Riviera, PSD.
Blue skies. Hardly a cloud to be seen.
Although I've often said that only to discover that going-home time coincides with torrential rain. Stoopid Weather Gods.

Afternoon Mac.
I'm pondering the idea of changing sport. Sort of. Why don't we just support women's football?
We wouldn't even have to change clubs.

Jack, the Arsenal Ladies team are extremely succesful and let's be fair, we don't follow them a huge amount. What do you suppose will happen in the Football Goddesses get wind that we've jumped ship and now support the ladies team?

Gah!! You're probably right, Mac. Whoever we support is going to go down the tubes.
Does this mean we should start supporting Spurs?

I know Mac, which makes the whole enterprise virtually impossible.
And suppose the Football Gods are trying to pull a fast one? A double bluff of sorts by getting us to support Spurs in the expectation that it will destroy them only for us to discover that Spurs become a good team for the first time since....oh I dunno..since the Spanish Armada set sail or something.
Also, we would lose all the fun of spud-baiting. Have you any idea how much fun I had congratulating them on the 50th anniversary of their last tile a few months ago?

A lot of fun I would imagine Jack.
I guess we have an accord, though a fairly miserable one. We'll have to stick with Arsenal, the men's team. And endure all the anguish we will inevitably get.
Spurs becoming successful would be horrible. And to know we were to blame for it happening! The shame.

I think we're pretty stuck with it, all right.
As for Spurs all we can do is hope that 'Arry gets the England job and that their replacement is a more traditional Spurs manager. i.e. a rubbish one.
Anyway, time for some grub.

Bring back Christian Gross. That's what I say.
I see we have three more injuries for tomorrow. Which I'm guessing means Djourou, Arshavin and Rosicky will play.
I have a sudden sense of foreboding.

DOesn't look like it, Mac.
And there's the whole Wilshere thing too. Hobbled off in pre season. Doubts about whether he'd be available for the Newcastle game.......so inevitably he's out until February. Which, as I'm sure we all know, almost certainly means the end of April.

Yes Jack, bread.
I could do the sensible thing tomorrow and watch another match. I don't think us Arsenal fans can realistically be sensible though.
I'll need beer, bread and probably a pillow.

The sensible thing to do would be to just throw the TV out of the window.
But you're right. We won't be doing anything sensible.
