That's what this empty space needs. Those, and some ferns, a nice rug or two, and a wet bar. Perhaps some abstract art on the walls. Something big and colorful with lots of thick paint splashes.

I have just s I can't hang art here unless someone else paints it.

Well, I'm not sure about you and your "s", but I do have some "m". Perhaps I can spare a "q" or two. But it will have to be without a "u". I'm fresh out.

The problem is I start typing so fast that the keyboard can't keep up- sad but true. I can't remember what I was going on about anyway.. Btw, what little trueism would this throw pillow be emblazoned with?

Do you remember what Alice Roosevelt Longworth had needlepointed on a pillow?
*wonders if Sporky will ever be able to correctly answer that, and realizes that her source material is about 80 miles away and any precise answer to that question will have to appear tomorrow*

Of course I know it. It has long been a personal motto of my own: "If you haven't got anything good to say about anybody, come sit next to me.''

Once again, I have blundered into an insult.
My apologies to you and yours.

Not much of an insult really- I've heard worse from you. Then again, who hasn't?
So, what are you doing on your day off?

Yesterday I traveled back home, did four loads of laundry, cleaned out the cat box, watched "Grumpy Old Men" and the second part of Ken Burns' "Frank Lloyd Wright" and snuggled with Lucy.

Grumpy old men... I love the father in that movie. What a dirty old man... that's how I want to be when I get older.

You wouldn't know what "it" was if "it" slapped you across the face... which it has, by the way.

I highly doubt Zsa Zsa Gabor would appreciate being called an "it".

SE Posted Oct 16, 2002
she's not even an "it." she was never an "it." she's just a thing

At least when I wear green I don't look like a walking golf course
